Now for the surprise prize for my favorite idea. Although I enjoyed the Disney World idea since two of my fav birthdays were there and I am going away on a fun weekend, I had to pick the answer that made me laugh. This is something I've always wanted since I was little and well I LOVE margaritas......
KimR said...
#140Okay--now this may seem silly---but what I keep telling DH I would like for my bday is to rent one of those moonwalks and just have it in the yard so I can jump in it all day!!! LOL TO me, taht would be a perfect bday--well, along with some margarita's!

So Sammye Jo and KimR email me with your addresses and I'll get your gifts out when I return from my birthday weekend!

Whimsy Blog Hop!!!!

It's raining here again!! It's been a rainy day nearly everyday for the past 3 weeks!!! But today we have a super fun blog hop to take our minds off the weather!!!! You should be hopping here from Michele's blog. If not start back at the beginning with Deb R.

The theme of today's blog hop is favorites! I chose one of my favorite Whimsy stamps, the whimsy frog. Then instead of choosing my favorite color combo I chose my favorite thing, new designer paper!!! This DSP is from K& company and matches perfectly with the new crushed curry from SU! The other layer has cute little flies on it, that's not something you hear everyday!!!

When you're done hopping why not check out the whimsy challenge blog?? This card works for that challenge too! It's a recipe of 2 designer papers, 1 ribbon and 3 embellies(i did 3 types.)

Now for the prize at the end of the hop......pretty fantastic huh? Make sure you leave comments on every one's blog for your chance to win this prize pack! From here, hop on to Denise's blog:)

Tomorrow's the last day for my birthday blog candy, there are some whimsy stamps for grabs there as well!

Fred She Said

Back Again with a Fred She Said DT card which I was able to create today. And guess what?? It works for a few challenges!! I used the Emma mermaid image from FSS for this one. I chose the sketch from The pink elephant. I used my new razzleberry lemonade DSP for the squares. The other colors I chose were razzleberry and pale plum. Since purple was the theme over at Pile it On, that works!!! Double dutch challenge wanted to see monochromatic cards so I kept with just purple to qualify for that one. I made this card for my niece's first birthday. I hand wrote "one" on the tag which covers both the One stop craft challenge of numbers and the tag challenge at Cute Card Thursday. Finally I added a few diamonds and some stickles for charizma cardz diamonds challenge. The next post is my Cupcake craft challenge and there's still time to enter my blog candy!

Cupcake Craft #45

Happy Monday! Guess what? It's raining again! And it's another cupcake craft challenge (a lot more fun than rain!!). This week we have Sandra Dry Digi Designs as our sponsor and a fun sketch to work with!! I chose this fun little image to work with from Sandra Dry.... I bought this K & Company paper at my LSS and I'm kicking myself for not getting more, it was on clearance and is fabulous! I also used 2 new in colors from SU, dusty durango and crushed curry. I like them a lot more than I thought I would, they are very warm adn perfect for fall! I also used a jumbo grommet on the ribbon. The polka dot ribbon only has polka dots on one side so it's like getting 2 ribbons in one! She also has stickles on her wings.

Scrap and Stamp Saturday Challenge #2

Happy Weekend Everybody! Surprisingly the sun is out today, they were forecasting a washout!!! And it's time for scrap and Stamp Saturday's second challenge! Our theme for this challenge is Nature! Our sponsor for this challenge is Sweet and Sassy. We used the images from their A bug's life collection on our pages. I chose the butterfly and caterpillar images. They are digi images, so I printed them both on kiwi kiss CS then paper pieced some new DSP from razzleberry lemonade. I also paper pieced some white eyes on these little guys, since the kiwi looked a little funny. The base paper is from colorbok, I picked that up at my LSS. Just to be a good multitasker, I am going to enter this one over at Stamp with fun's dots challenge. I think it's official, I am addicted to challenges! Oh well! If you have a chance, check out the rest of the DT's nature pages; they're fantastic!!!

Just add color!!

Hi all! What a great day today is!! It's a stamp something challenge, some more of my new SU goodies are arriving and my hubby is coming home after a week long business trip!!!!!! It's also pouring rain so I couldn't get a decent picture of my challenge card to save my life!! Today's challenge is to just add color! Black, white and then one color! We are sponsored by Paper Makeup Stamps, so we are using their awesome images!!!! I used this princess fairy. I paper pieced her dress, crown and shoes from walk in the park DSP. The little froggy and the rest of her are colored with copics. The gray DSP is also walk in the park. The sentiment is PMS. Finally, I CBed the white layer with the swirls folder and added some kiwi ribbon and dew drops. Give the challenge a try, you could win 4 of PMS's newest stamps!!!

Cupcake Craft #44

It's Monday and that means it's cupcake craft day!!! This week it was Jeanette's turn to set the challenge. Here's the challenge......
As it's getting close to Fathers Day I thought a Fathers Day card would be appropriate, but there's a slight twist in that it has to be more than a card. You can interpret that any way you want to. If it's not Fathers Day in your neck of the woods then a card for a Man (any man) will do. Have fun and I can't wait to see your creations.

Well this one combines the two hardest challenges for me...something for a man AND not a card! So here's what I did. I made a one sheet wonder box (my favorite box) using kraft card stock. I plan on filling this with some chocolates and a gift card to the butcher for our first dinner on our new grill. I used some K&Company manly papers along with collage alphabet(retired) from SU. Now, I don't have too many manly stamps and my husband really isn't into tools(the man stamps I have) so I decided to go with beer!!!! This one's from cheers to you from SU. And while I don't know if Charisma cardz had beer in mind as "the something yummy" when they set their challenge, I think beer certainly is yummy, so I'll enter this little box there as well:)

Be sure to check out some great Father's Day ideas from the rest of the DT:)

Sketch Something:)

Happy Friday!! Are you ready for another fun sketch challenge over at Stamp Something?? It was created by former team member Emily Weems and it's fantastic!! This week's challenge is sponsored by Dog gone Stamps. Nancy donated a stamp for each of the DT gals and 8(yes 8 woohoo) stamps for our lucky winner! Thanks Nancy!!
I received this window stamp and it immediately reminded me of windows in Bermuda, so I had to go with a pink and green combo!! The green is glorious green from SU, not one of my go to colors at all but it works here! The DSP is from the prints pack. I also cut out the flowers and popped them up on dimensionals.
No weekend blogging for me, it is garage cleaning weekend, it doesn't sound like fun but I am very excited for a clean garage and a trip to the dump!! See you all Monday:) Be sure to check out my BIRTHDAY BLOG CANDY!!!

Pile it on!

This is a new challenge site that wants you to combine challenges!! What a fun idea! I love doing challenges, but let's be serious here...there's tons of challenge sites and as independent as my 2 year old is, she can't cook for herself yet! So combining challenges is my way of multi-tasking and that's what pile it on wants to see. This week they want you to combine challenges and use a non-stamped sentiment. My sentiment is a rub-on so check there! The other challenges are. Whimsy stamps challenge, which is a great sketch challenge by none other than Emily Weems:) I also did Cute card Thursday's quotation challenge. It isn't really a famous saying, but someone said it right?? Finally I entered a new to me challenge, Scrapmaster's Paradise color combos. The combo this week was old olive, choc. chip, so saffron and brilliant blue. I had the first 3 as card stock and the blue in the buttons! Be sure to check out my BIRTHDAY BLOG CANDY!! See you tomorrow for a stamp something challenge!!!!

Thank You Magnolia

Another cloudy rainy day here, which means another day of stamping! Here's a thank you note I did for my daughter to send out.
I started with the sketch from Just Magnolia's and colored in this adorable image I had.
I chose the colors using the Cute Daisy May pink and green challenge as well as roses on paper's pink, yellow and green challenge. The center of one flower is yellow so I hope that's OK.
I downloaded some free paper from funky fairies to enter this into their thank you challenge. The one stop craft challenge wanted to see some embossing, so I embossed the celery layer with the tiny bubbles CB folder. The lili of the valley challenge for last week was summer fun and this Tilda is ready for summer! The ABC challenge this week is R is for roses so I added a few as my flower centers. Finally, I added some bling to the corners and her wings for the Secret Crafter Saturday challenge! I'll be back later with my birthday blog candy post:) HERE'S THE CANDY

Fred She Said DT Card:)

Hi All, hope you're all having a great day. It was supposed to rain here all day, but it really only rained for about an hour. I'd like a little more so I don't have to water the lawn and garden today though. Since it was so crummy, I was able to get to some stamping!
Here's a Fred She Said DT card using Emma and the butterfly image. I needed to make a few congrats for finishing preschool cards and thought she would work perfectly!
I made this card with a few challenges in mind. The pink elephant wanted to see pink brown and white cards. Well I have the pink and brown covered for sure, so I added some white gel pen dots just to be covered there as well. Then there is Stamp with us which wanted to see some congrats cards using Stampin Up products. I used SU card stock, oval punch, cocoa satin ribbon and the hugs and wishes set.
Next up is another pink and brown challenge over at Charisma Cardz. Emma's super cute butterflies work for the butterfly challenge at spoonful of sugar. I also used punches and cut out Emma so this one fits in with Cute Card Thursday's punch challenge. Finally, I used the sketch from our creative corner to put this one together. Whew!! I think tomorrow I'll be ready to post my birthday blog candy so be sure to check back for some goodies!!! HERE'S THE CANDY!!

Hi All! I hope everyone had a great weekend! We started cleaning the garage! This has been on the "to do" list for quite awhile! So all in all a very productive weekend! I made this challenge card late last week for the color challenge over at Cupcake Craft using the sketch from A spoonful of sugar! Super cute Sammy is from digital Stamp Oasis. The paper is from TPC Studios. I used assorted buttons and primas. The remaining cardstock, ribbon and sentiment are SU. Speaking of which, fingers crossed my new SU catty and new in colors ship today! I'm very excited to see what SU has in store for us this year! Check out the rest of the DT's samples......oh and check back soon for my birthday blog candy!!!

Scrap and Stamp Saturday Challenge 1!!!!

Today is the first cahllenge over at Scrap and Stamp Saturday!! The theme today is summer, which I can not wait for!!! Check out the rest of the DT gals too WOW!!
What says summer better than popcicles!!! I used 2 retired SU sets for this one, sparkling summer and alphadots. The colors are kiwi, pink pirouette and baja. Boy am I said to see those go, I love this color combo!!!! I also used various punches and some pink pirouette ribbon. The "we" is handwritten.

Something old, Something new

It'a Friday, so it's time for a new Stamp Something challenge with our new team!! I am so looking forward to working with and getting to know these new talented ladies! Be sure to check out the site to see what they came up with for our wedding theme! We are sponsored by My Grafico this week, you can find them either at their store or on their on line community. The were kind enough to donate this here comes the bride set for the DT to work with as well as the blog candy for our lucky winner!
I just loved this dress and knew I had to use it for this card! The purples came from this gorgeous piece of ultra wide ribbon I have that I wanted to use on the card, but realized I didn't have room for it once the card came together, next time!! I added some pearls, ivory taffeta and stickles, all things that say wedding card to me! See you tomorrow for our first Scrap and Stamp Saturday Challenge!

More SOA cards

Quick post this am as I am out the door to start a busy day! Here are two other cards I made during the Stampin out Alzheimer's event. The first uses this sweet magnolia image I received in a swap. I used the colors from the Copics Colour challenge for this one. I used RV10, E37 & E57. I used a bit of Y11 in her hair and pants and there is yellow in the Basic grey papers. This also works for the embossing challenge over at Cute Daisy May. The pink pirouette circle is embossed with a circle CB folder and her wings are embossed with iridescent ice embossing powder from SU. Hopefully that shows in the photo. Finally this card also works for Cute card Thursday's punches challenge. I used the oval punch, Martha Stewart's edge punch and flower punch and SU 3 flower punch.

This next card also uses a sketch from Stampin Out Alzheimer's. I used my new monkey from Whimsy stamps for this one! I love this little guy!!!! The papers are from my safari mat stack and are super glittery!! The sentiment is from SU. This card fits perfectly with the Kids card challenge over at Creative Card Crew and the for the boys challenge at One stop craft challenges.

SOA Birthday Card

Last week I joined the group Stampin Out Alzheimer's. It was a great group of generous ladies who put on challenges and other fun events to raise money for Alzheimer's. Here is a card I made using one of the sketches from the group. It also fits a few other challenges. The first is for the Creative card crew. They'd like to see cards for kids! I think this new whimsy giraffe makes for a perfect boys birthday card!!! The next challenge is a recipe challenge from the pink elephant. I used 3 buttons from my stash, 1 sentiment from a retired SU set and then for the 2 layers....I interpreted that as each piece(the background, sentiment and image) has 2 layers(they were flexible on this part!!) The paper is from my safari mat stack and SU. The yummy chocolate satin ribbon is SU as well (I'm sooo excited to see what the new catty has for ribbon!!!) I also want to enter this one into the one stop craft challenge. Their challenge is for the boys!

Cupcake Craft Challenge #42

Morning Everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend!!! And Happy June! I was able to get in a bunch of stamping time last night so that's always good!!!
We have another fun challenge this week over at cupcake! It was designed by Evelina....I am delighted to set the challenge for this week, and I have chosen the theme "Fairies". So all you have to do is have a fairy or a few present on your card or project. Easy, peasy! Hope you all enjoy the challenge and have a great week! Evelina x
This fairy stamp is from PaperMakeup Stamps. It was designed to help raise money for Kayleigh. I used copics to color her in and add some stickles to her wings. The sketch is from sketch Saturday turned sideways though. The sentiment is from papertrey. The striped paper is SU and really old!!!! I made a few cards last night for the challenges over at Stamping Out Alzheimer's, so check back for those! Most include the new animals from Whimsy Stamps which I love!!! Be sure to check out the rest of the fairy cute cards for the other CCC gals!
