Christmas with Fred, she said

What a Wednesday!!! I've been purging the play room of old, broken and/or baby toys. Involving the kids in that process was not one of my best ideas but it needed to be done!! Since I collected 2+ bags of stuff, I decided I needed a stamping break!!
I used one of my fav Fred, she said images to make this Christmas card. The colors are old olive and retired Cranberry Crisp, I embossed the cranberry layer and heart with my snowflakes CB folder. I added a bunch of chunky glitter, some brads and a heart with what looks like snowflakes to me!!!

ETA: Entering this one into the Roses on Paper guest DT Call:)

It's a busy Friday here today!!! I've been checking things off the to do list left and right but it just doesn't seem any shorter!!!!

This is my card for Stamp Something's Favorite layout/sketch challenge. I love layouts that include tons of layers, especially rectangles. So i decided to go with this current sketch from a spoonful of sugar. There are so many layers and I love the titled one. This image is from belles and whistles. I think it's super sweet and I colored the hair to match my girls. The designer paper is offbeat from Basic grey along with rose red, chocolate chip and olive. I got a couple new pink/red copics so I was itching to try them out! This one is RV29. I also wanted to say bye to Lynn from the SS team, even though she's no longer a teammate, I know I'll see her around in blogland:)

There's still time to mail a card for Paige just email me for my address and I'll get it right over to her and you have a chance of 2 fabby candies!! I'm aiming for 200 comments!!! CLICK HERE for details

MAWTT Guest DT Card

Good Morning!!! It's school picture day here. I can't believe it!! So this will be a quick post as I have to brush hair which is always an adventure!!!

This week I am very excited to be guest designing for Moving along with the times challenge blog. Hazel has created a fabulous sketch to work with and the theme is sparkling!

I used this digi from Mo's digital pencil. I added some stickles to her wings and colored her with copics. I have been wanting to use this giant fabric colored brad for ages and finally found the right card and paper for it! The olive layer is actually patterned paper as well! I also used some new prima bling for added glitz. This week at Kaboodle, they wanted to see 2 patterned papers, 1 digi image and 3 embellies. I think technically I may have over embellished oops!!! Finally the challenge at Pile it on is punches and I used a bunch!!

Witchy Wednesday!

I always say summer is my favorite season until fall comes along! I love picking apples and Halloween and warm fall days! Today, for example is GORGEOUS it's 75 and sunny with a nice breeze!!!
SO my card for today uses one of Ildi Co's new images, cuddles as a witch!! I made the kitty on the broomstick orange since my new kitty is orange! I used some yummy sparkly papers I received from my gal Vicki! I also added a leaf charm and a bunch of flowers from my stash. The colors are close to cocoa and not quite navy with some orange thrown in for fun! I'm headed back outside, laundry will have to wait till it's chilly!!!!

My favorite color!

Have you ever had one of those cards that was a pain in your side from beginning to end??? That's this card for me!! I started using a completely different color combo and image, then I saw this new release from Fred, She said and I HAD to use it. Why I couldn't wait for tomorrow not sure. And I was going to use pink and brown since I love that combo but I couldn't find the right papers so I also LOVE blue and brown so I went for that. I started with the Parisian breeze papers since they are my favorites hands down. But I couldn't make them work. I did paper piece Emma's coat and boots with them though. So I took out my last piece of Afternoon tea paper and used that instead. The I thought the sketch from Digital delights would be perfect. Couldn't make that stick either so I used felt flowers instead of a strip of CS for the stripe and added some yummy choc. satin ribbon. I managed to get some pink in there after all with the flowers! I put on some brads and a few swirls and it was finally starting to come together! Then I couldn't get a decent picture of it to save my life. So this is what we have today! Check out the rest of the gals from Stamp Something, amazing cards today!!
Let's see did I fit in any challenges...........
Digital Delights...sketch
Charisma cardz......flower power
Simon Says....recipe 2 papers(background and paper piecing), 3 embellies(flowers, brads, ribbon) and 1 image
LaLa Land...embellish it
Paper maniac...ribbon
A spoonful of sugar......fall into autumn
Our creative corner...happy fall y'all

Paige Update!!!!!

This is from Paige's mom............
hello erin. this is racquel welch, paige's mum. where do i start???? thank you i guess would be good. i can't tell you how much all of the cards she has received so far have done for her. she looks forward to mail call every day. her spirits are still high....thanks to you and all of your blog friends. the doctors were able to save quite a bit of her arm. she will have a working elbow making it so much easier to fit her with a prosthetic arm (not for several more months). her last surgery on 09/09/09 was the worst pain wise but the best results wise. muscle, veins, an artery, a nerve and skin were removed from the right side of her back(from under her arm to her hip). a 10 by 5 inch piece of skin was also taken from her right thigh and these were all grafted to her arm to allow her to eventually use the new limb. she had a few set backs and her suffering was almost my undoing but she pulled through and might be discharged from the hospital this thursday or friday. she loves all the cards and the gifts. and yes she likes the beaded necklace with the butterfly pendant. as well as the stamps, bookmarks, stickers and blank card to use for herself and all the other very thoughtful and creative goodies that keep filling her room and her heart. she is so amazed when she receives the cards from overseas. i can never thank you all enough for what you have done and continue to do. we are hopeful at returning to our home in nh by october. please forgive my lack of capitals and punctuation as i have the use of one hand only at the moment and typing is difficult especially as i was a 2 finger typist in the first place. both paige and i will require at least a year to recover from our injuries but i am thrilled to announce that my nephew's is coming along sooner than expected. thank you again to all of you especially erin for starting this.

my thanks and love to you all,
racquel, paige and clarke

THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!!!!!

Doodle Palace Christmas

Good morning!! Hope you're all enjoying this fun fall day!! I'm jumping ahead a bit to Christmas today! Here's a new image from Doodle Palace, fun little guy huh? I used the sketch and theme from Moving along with the times. I rotated the sketch not because I wanted but because i adhered my ribbon in the wrong place, so it's a bit of an ooops card!!!
One stop craft challenge wanted it to snow so I added some embossed squares embossed with snowflakes and snow to the elf's hat and shoes/ SPCC's colors this week are old olive, real red and hunter.
Both crafty creations and Paper Maniac wanted to see embossing, so the snowflake squares work there too!
Finally paper blooms wanted to see some bling. I have the chunky glitter and rhinestone brads. I also added a fun Santa sled charm!
I also wanted to say thanks to crafty creations and pile it on for posting about my card drive and a teddy for Paige image who's proceeds go directly to Paige!!! Card drive is still going strong!!

A clownkin back to school card

It's Ildi Co Wednesday. I used this school girl clownkin today for a back to school card. That fits the back to school challenge at Cute Card Thursday. I used some of my favorite copics for this one, G21 and G24, R29 and B91, 93 and 95, so that works for copic creations challenge. The sketch is from Friday sketchers, I turned it on it's side to work with my image. The digital Tuesday challenge wanted to see kid cards, so this works there as well. I added an apple charm to go with the back to school theme, papers and Kaboodle doodles challenge of adding a charm to your card. Finally stamp with us wanted to see SU products and good luck cards, the paper, embellies and sincere salutations sentiments are SU.
Here's a link to my blog candy with a cause, thanks for checking it out!
