Belles and Whistles Sunshine

Morning everyone!!! Today I have a sunny card to share with you! It is for the Saturday Spotlight Challenge. The divas would like to see..... you to LET THE SUNSHINE IN!! Since we want to be done with all those wild snowflakes from last week, we thought this week we would ask you to get your bright colors or use mostly "yellow" or monochromatic yellow for your creations this week!
I started with this super cute sisters image from Belles and Whistles. And decided to make it into an easel card!! Such a fun and easy little fancy fold. The papers are from nook and pantry by Basic grey. I also added a cute little bee charm and some flowers.
The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps...Whimsy is currently offering the most beautiful digi image, named wings of hope, created by Crissy Armstrong. All the proceeds from the sale of this digi go to the Red Cross to assist in their efforts in Haiti. If you're unfamiliar with digis or want to do more, there is a donate button right on the Whimsy site. Here is a LINK to the card I made yesterday using the image. It is times like these that make us stop and think how lucky we really are in life and how amazing it is that as a community we can come together and help others that really need it just by doing what we love. I can't give big enough cyber hugs to Denise and Crissy for organizing this so quickly, I am truly overwhelmed by your big hearts my dears!!! Hugs to you and all of you who help them in their efforts.
Be sure to check out the rest of the divas sunny creations!!!

We woke up this morning to a ton of new snow. Then we had about two hours of sleet so everything is all white and shimmery now! I decided to make a summery card to warm up! I loved the Whiff of Joy sketch for the DT call, so I decided on this lovely WOJ summer image. I even added a dragonfly charm for a real summer feel!!! She's colored in copics and placed on the WOJ fall flowers image. The papers are wisteria from Basic grey along with kraft and eggplant. I also added bunch of primas! Think summer!!!!

A belles and whistles Saturday Spotlight!

Good morning and happy weekend!!!! We are planning on a little bit of cleaning, a little bit of relaxing and hopefully a little bit of stamping today! I have my Saturday spotlight card to share with you today. The divas are challenging.... you to GET WILD WITH YOUR SNOWFLAKES!! You may be sick of the snow by now, but I say...If you can't beat 'em, join 'em!! Use LOTS of them on your creation or use them in a unique way like making a wreath or a fun snowflake flower. 'Flurry', there's 'snow' time like being flaky with your Spotlight Diva friends!!

I chose to use the 'twas the night before Christmas image from Belles and whistles. I cut off Santa though, shhhh don't tell my girls!!! Whenever the girls play out in the snow, they always come inside and cuddle up to get warm. That's what this sweet image reminded me of. So for the snowflake challenge I used snowflake DSP from My mind's eye, my snowflake embossing folder, my snowflake punch and felt snowflakes! I think I went pretty snowflake crazy!!! The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.
Check out the rest of the snowflakes from the divas!!!

Birthday wishes

Good morning! So did everyone watch American Idol last night????? Can't believe it's that time of year already!! It's also a busy time of year for birthdays. My daughter is going to a friend's birthday next weekend so I wanted to give her a few cards to pick from. I made this one using Francesca from Kraftin Kimmie. She seems like a fun gal and has plenty of cupcakes to share!!! It was a bit of a calamity making the card however. It got to the point yesterday that I just put it away and decided to come back to it today. It's still not exactly as I had envisioned but oh well! The papers are DCWV sweet and the rest of the card stock is SU. I used some primas with metal brads and beads to finish it up. I also used a fun new Martha Stewart edge punch!

Untamed Love

Good Morning!!!
Hope you're staying warm!! We're in quite a bit of a freeze here!!! Perfect days to sit by the fire, sip cocoa and stamp. Unfortunately work is getting in the way of that today!
I was able to create a car over the weekend using the new Crissy Armstrong image, untamed love, from whimsy stamps!!! I used some copper perfect pearls on his tail and mane. I receive them from my soon to be SIL for Christmas. They are quite fun, but I'm still getting the hang of them. I colored the rest with copics and used some Eva basic grey papers. The sentiment is also from whimsy stamps.

I decided to use this adorable Sarah Kay image. It sure says love to me and no hearts!! That was harder than I thought!!! I also used a non-traditional Valentine color combo, I thought it went well with the image. The papers are retired SU. The I added some ribbons, flowers adn other little doo dads, including a love charm. Check out the rest of the divas for some LOVEly creations!!!

I used my new Kraftin Kimmie stamp, Posy, she's so fun!!!! I paired her with some really bright, cheery and sparkly DCWV papers. I even paper pieced her a sassy little dress! I colored her with copics and added some gold sparkle to her hair using my spica pen. Click here if you're looking for my Stamp Something project and here if you're on the Whimsy carousel blog hop.

I also used some retired SU papers and ribbon. I sprayed the whole card with some shimmerz spritz so it has just a hint of sparkle. Lindsay's Stamp Stuff Valentine

WOW is this week crazy or what!! Between trying to get back into the normal routine and adding a new ballet class, I'm running around like a chicken with its head cut off!!!
I did remember to make this card for the Lindsay's Stamp Stuff DT and to use a recycled item on it. The thin pink ribbon is from some wedding favors, fun and easy to recycle!! The cute little birdies are from the Love grows set. Check out the rest of the team's creation and Lindsay's blog for a freebie.
