A recipe!

WooHoo it's Friday and the start of a long weekend which is scheduled to be gorgeous!!!  But first I have a yummy recipe to share with you from Stamp Something!  Keeping with the birthday month theme, we decided on a birthday recipe this week of designer paper, ribbon, a bow and a tag.  Our sponsor is Paper Jewels.  They carry Bildmalarna, Sweet Pea and CC Designs stamps so I wasn't sure which to choose at first.  I finally decided on Kiki LaRue from CC Designs with her yummy little ice cream!  The papers are from basic grey and I embossed the top paper with my swirls folder.  I made my own tag using an SU sentiment and the tag corner punch.  I stitched the edge and added lots of different bling!  The ribbon is actually leftover from my girls' birthday cake from the weekend, it's super satiny.  The rest of the team cooked up some goodies for you as well, so pop on over!
Also I have the winner of my candy from the Stamp Something blog hop it is....Deb.  Email me and I'll your goodies right out to you hun!
Have a fun and safe Memorial Day Weekend everyone.

RAK request

Afternoon everyone!!  Well it's another toasty day here in NH!  Lots of popcicles and fruit on tap for the rest of the day, maybe even some ice cream!
I have a summery card I made to share today.  It is for the sister of my blogging buddy, Lisa.  Her sister has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and she is looking for blogging friends to shower her with cards.  You can find more about her RAK request and the BC donations from some very caring people in the stamping community HERE
Whimsy illustrator, Crissy Armstrong, has created a fabulous froggy image for Lisa's sister, Jayme.  It's the one I used in my card, and it's FREE. So if you have a chance please download the image and send Jayme a little cheer!  Download the digi by visiting the Whimsy Stamps store page  or click HERE to go directly to the download.
I used some fun papers I found while shopping with Lindsay.  The little frogs were perfect as Jayme loves frogs!  I also used some yummy thick orange satin ribbon.  The sentiment is part of a new rubber set from Whimsy Stamps designed by Ann Vento.

Karen's Doodles #12

Good Morning everyone!!!  Hope you all had a fabulous weekend!!  We had a joint birthday party for the girls which was soooo fun and tiring!!!  I'm very excited to relax today!
I do have a quick card to share with  you for the Karen's Doodles US challenge!!!  This week's theme is stitching, which is right up my ally lately!!!  I chose some cosmo cricket papers that have a stitched look and added real stitching as well.
This is one of Karen's newer images and boy is she a cutie!!!  I chose to use the thank you girl, but she comes with a few different sentiments or just a blank heart! Too cute!  I paper pieced her dress.  I then printed the heart on pink paper, embossed and attached it with dimensionals.  I decided to go with the stitching theme and embellish with buttons!  I did add a few little flowers too!  The rest of the team created some beauties for you, pop on over and check them out when you can and play along too if you'd like for a chance at some free images!!

Also the Stamp Something hop is still going strong!!!  If you haven't hopped along yet, here's where to start for tons of prizes and a chance at a Simon Says gift certificate too!

Welcome!!!!  You should be hopping here from BEV'S BLOG if not click THIS LINK to head to the first stop!!
I used this new carousel horse from Crissy Armstrong for my card.  His name is Proud to be.  It's great for 4th of July cards and scrapbook pages but could really be used for anything!  The sentiment is new from Whimsy as well!!!
I really wanted to use this yummy ribbon, so I went for a red, white and blue theme!  I thought the papers added some extra summer fun with the cherries.  I added a little sparkle to the top of the pole with an adhesive rhinestone.  The card is an easel card and I added some of the same DSP, some ribbon and used my star punch on the inside.
From here you're going to hop onto SIMMONE'S blog!!  Just wait till you see what gorgeous creation she has in store for you!!!!

Pixie Cottage Vintage Challenge

Hello everyone.  Hope your week is moving along smoothly.  We have a busy day planned today.  A little yard work, some house work and then a fun afternoon play date!
Today is another fabulous sketch challenge over at Pixie Cottage.  The sketch was designed by none other than   Suzanne Dean from Scrapbitz! !  We also have the added theme of vintage, so you can do one or both elements!!!  I went for both as it was such a lovely sketch.
I used Maisy and Matts Wedding by Di Carubia  as my image.  And I did NOT color it!!  How crazy is that???  When I was putting it together I thought leaving the image just with the ink gave it an older feel so I restrained myself and gave my copics the day off:)  I used inks and my distressing tool to age the card and finished with some stitching.  The papers are from bella blue by SU, one of my new favs for that vintage feel.  The other girls have created some beauties, please pop on over to say hi and enter for your chance to win if you have some free time:)

Belles and Whistles DT Call

Good morning.  What a chilly day we are having today!  Perfect for cocoa and stamping!!  My daughter wanted me to build a fire and for I while, I thought I might!!  The sun has helped warm things up and it's really just a gorgeous day out there.
I have my entry the Belles n Whistles DT call to share with you today.  When I returned from the weekend I happened across the call and found a bit of time to create something for it!  I was very excited as I love these images and could just spend hours coloring away.  There is so much gorgeous detail in each image too for even more fun!!  It would be soo fabulous to use them each week!!
I chose to use this sisters image as it's one of my favs.  I paired it with some Wisteria papers and neutral colored primas.  I stitched and distressed the edges for a soft vintage feel.  I also added some ultra fine flower soft for the grass for added texture and dimension.  And finally I tied on a little dragonfly as no summer day is complete without one.
All my other BnW creations can be found HERE

Karen's Doodles #10

Wow what a weekend!!!  Although I had a fabulous time in Maine, it feels good to be home!!  I met Lindsay from Lindsay's stamp stuff while in Maine and we hit the mother load of deals at some craft stores!!!  I got a TON of cuttlebug folders for 2.00$ and so yummy papers!  And some flocking too, which I'm very excited to use!!!
Now onto today's card!  It's a birthday challenge this week at Karen's Doodles US challenge!!  Which is great because I have a lot of birthdays this month!!!  I used a new image from Karen's Doodles called Fisher dad and daughter!  There is also a dad/son image and  you can layer them if you need more kids!
I used some new papers from gcd which are super shimmery.  I went for the masculine embellies of twine, eyelets and buttons.  I made the image nice and big so it was the focal point of the card.  I find that works well on masculine cards so I don't have room for flowers LOL!

Good morning!  Hope you have had a fabulous weekend so far!  I spent yesterday at the scrapbook convention with some friends and found some great deals!  What a fun afternoon!!!  I'm sure you'll be seeing my "stash" in the next few days!
Today I have my card for Sunday Sketch and Stamp as Guest Designer!!  I'm so excited to be joining this talented team and to play around their fun sketches!!!  This week's sketch is designed by Ger and it's fantastic!!!  Busy Beauties Boutique is the sponsor this week and they are offering our winner their choice of 5 images from the Boutique. But that's not all, 2 runners-up will also be allowed to pick two images!!  Fun huh??
