Morning all. A bit late on the post this am, I totally forgot it was voting day until I was out and about! So had to make a quick stop there. This is a birthday card I made for a recent family birthday. I used the sketch from the Roses on Paper Challenge blog and this cute Magnolia image. The designer papers are all K& Company. The sentiment is from short and sweet by Stampin Up. I finished it up with some hemp twine and a corduroy button. The image is also popped up on a dimensional. Enjoy the rest of your day.

Favorite Somethings
It's Friday, it's above freezing already and there's a fun new Stamp Something Challenge! What a great day. This week's challenge is create a project using one of your favorite somethings. Something can inspire you, like a movie or song or just use your fav. products.
I did a little of both. One of my favorite things to do with my girls is bake cookies. We bake them for every holiday. Sometimes we just avoid certain cookies that well, were tried before they were cooked......... Willow with cookies is also one of my favorite whiff of joy images, I received a few from Denise(thank you, they're awesome!!!) and knew they'd be perfect. I colored her with Copics, clearly my favorite way to color, and some new copics were used, my favorite thing to buy. The paper is me and my big mouth, which I purchased at my LSS the other day. So head on over to Stamp Something to see the favorites of the rest of the DT. Oh did I mention a NEW Whiff of Joy is up for grabs???????

Stamp ARTic Challenge
Happy Thursday! Where has this week gone?? I think it has just flown right by! I spent yesterday with friends watching the kiddos play together, so much fun!! I did forget to post for the Stamp ARTic challenge though, so here it is today. I used this stinkin cute stamp and sentiment from Whimsy and colored him in with some copics. The colors are basic gray and baja breeze along with DSP from urban garden and ski slope. I added a brad from silver HPH through the baja ribbon (boy can that crop-a-dile cut through stuff!!!) I also used my swirls CB folder. Today the last day to enter the Stamp Something challenge and win a gift certificate to buy this sweet little guy, so be sure to enter! See you tomorrow for a Stamp Something Challenge sponsored by Whiff of Joy!!

A walrus for you
I made this card for the Our creative corner challenge. It was a gorgeous sketch and I had a perfect whimsy image in mind. Well at the end I switched images and paper and hardware, so it's nothing like the card I had set out to create, oh well!! I used the new sale-a-bration DSP from SU. And this cuddly whimsy walrus! The sentiment is from happy everything. I colored this big guy in with copics and added white gel pen accents. I might as well take another entry for cute card Thursday's animal challenge as well.
Thanks for stoppin' by!

Bunch o challenges
This weekend I had a few quiet hours to stamp. So I inked up all my Whimsy images to out my copics and went to town. I was able to put this image to use today for a few challenges. I first used the sketch from the truly Scrumptious Challenge blog. And I think this layout is truly scrumptious, I'll definitelty be using it again. I then chose the color combo based on the blue and brown challenge over at colour create. Finally, the them this week over at Cute Card Thursday is animals and well I'm doing my Whimsy Animals DT samples so those go quite well together.
The paper is textured DSP from SU which I LOVE! Then just a felt flower, brad and some grosgrain to finish it off.Sunday, March 1, 2009
Everybody Art Challenge
This week's challenge on Everybody Art Challenge Blog is to create a pocket/bag. It is also sponsored by Denise from Whimsy Stamps. This is a one sheet wonder box. I found the tutorial on SCS. It's the same one I used for my valentine's box. I posted the link this time since I had a lot of emails looking for the tutorial. I did this box at my SAB workshops(without the whimsy bunny). I added that cute little guy when I got home:) He is popped up on dimensionals. The flowers are from sweet stems and the sentiment is from happy everything. I'm also going to go ahead and enter cute card thursday's animal challenge a second time if that's OK. I sponged the background lightly with baja breeze. I'm am going to prepare for the 18in of snow we are supposed to be getting. I officially give up, winter won this year!!! I am SO looking forward to flowers, warm weather and spring cards!!
