Stamp Something for back to school!

Morning ladies! The stamp something challenge this week is back to school!!  My girls start Monday and we are all very excited!

I went with this super cutie Tilda and the Magnolia envelope image for my card.  I paired them with some school themed fancy pants papers.  I added wild orchid flowers, jumbo eyelets, hemp twine and a fun school charm.  I also stitched the edges.  The sentiment is a favorite of mine from Whimsy Stamps.  I plan on keeping this card handy, you never know when you'll need a thank you teacher card:)

Pixie Cottage Thinking of you

Well it's the third rainy day in a row and I couldn't be happier!!!!  We've been so busy getting ready for school, it's helped us stay focused.  And we really needed the rain.  I've also had some time to stamp!!!
I have a pixie cottage challenge card for you today!!!  We have a fabulous sketch by  and then a back to school theme.  As always you can do one, the other or both!  I chose to use the sketch.  I suppose you could stretch it to fit the theme:)
I colored Hannah On A Swing by Sandra Hammer as my image with copics.  The papers are green at heart from basic grey.  I distressed the edges and added some stitching.  The sentiment is from basic grey.  The pearl swirls are from want 2 scrap.  I just want to add a side note about them...I ordered a bunch of reasonably priced pearls from them, and they arrived in 2 days and the shipping was super cheap!!!!!  And they are fantastic!  I also added wild orchid flowers and a fun postmark sentiment from Whimsy Stamps.

Whiff of Joy Halloween

Morning everyone!  I have a Halloween card for you today!  I just love Halloween.  I used this adorable gnome from Whiff of Joy.  Her name is A little bit of magic might help and she is actually from the get well collection.  But I thought I could use her for Halloween instead. 

The papers are eerie from Basic grey and the sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.  I also embossed the orange BG layer with my halloween CB folder.  I added some stitching along with scissor and ink distressing to the edges.  I just bought the MS pumpkin border punch at a Christmas tree shoppe of all places.  Finally I added some black swirls and wild orchid flowers.  Oh and ivy leaves from another MS punch.

I used some cogsmo papers from cosmo cricket.  The sentiment is from the paper as well.  I colored him with copics, added some buttons and used a few star punches.  Cute and easy!

Pixie Cottage Treat Box

Wow yesterday a door hanger and today a treat box, things are getting crazy over here!!!  I generally only do cards, but it is fun to spice it up everyone once and awhile though. 
I just love these little one sheet wonder boxes!!  One sheet of paper, 4 score lines and voila it's done!!  I add jumbo eyelets to the top so I don't even use adhesive to make the box, easy peasy!
I used Apple Hannah by Sandra Hammer for my image, how pretty is she?!?!  The challenge at Pixie cottage is to use the sketch and/or create anything but a card.  I tweaked the sketch by removing the circle, because it just wasn't going to fit.
I colored Hannah with copics and used baja breeze and soft suede card stock along with papers from DCWV's green stack.  I also used soft suede ribbon and that's about it!

Fairytale time

 Good morning!! It's another Friday already!!!  Boy I thought July went by fast but August is going even faster!!!
We'd like to see your fairytale creations this week!
Our sponsor is Magnolia-licious so I decided to go with ballerina Tilda and a fairy sentiment from SU.  The papers are my mind's eye.  I colored Tilda with copics and added some stickles to her crown.  The flowers are from Wild orchid crafts.  I added stitching and distressed the edges with ink and scissors.
It's an easel card and the inside has MME papers and some pearls and hemp twine.

MelJen's New Whimsy Release!!!!

What a fun day!!  It's a MeJen designs digi release day!!!  There are some new images just released today over at the Whimsy Store!! And  because they're digi's, you can pop over, buy your fav and start coloring in seconds!!!

 I decided to use this super sassy teddy bear teacher!!!  How fun is she?!?!  I paired her with basic grey max and whiskers papers.  The tag is from whimsy as well, I did not ink up the sentiment inside.  Instead I added my own from the handmade seals set.
I added a fun little school charm and a metal grommet.  Along with some wild orchid flowers and a felt flower.  I also stitched the edges and added a bit of sparkle!

Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!!!

Afternoon everybody!!!  Today is my parents' anniversary!  So I wanted to make them a card and of course waited until today!!  I used this fabulous Whiff of Joy image, wedding carriage.   My parents are not newlyweds, but I liked the look of the sentiment with the carriage.  So it'll be just a little joke:)
I went with black and white papers and lots of pink accents.  I added stickles to the veil and flower soft to the back of the carriage.  This will be a short post as I need to stick it in the mailbox before they get home!!!!

Sunday Sketch and Stamp

Hi all!!  I hope you are enjoying this weekend!!!  We are having perfect weather and had a bit of time yesterday just to sit outside and enjoy it!  We hope to do the same today as well but first I have a card to share with you!
We have another fabulous sketch over at Sunday sketch and stamp!  Claire designed this fun sketch for us! 
I used 2 Whiff of joy images.  First is Melinda with Bouquet which I colored with copics.  The I added fun flock to her flowers.  I'm not overly crazy with how they came out, I think I may add more glue and flock and see what happens.  I also used fall grass, which I think the flock looks a lot better on, oh well!

The papers are from SEI and have a hint of shimmer and glitter to them.  The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.  I also added some stickles to Melinda's wings.

Something Inspired

Another Friday which means another fun Stamp Something challenge!!!!  This week we have a photo to inspire you!!! I decided to go with the birthday theme of the photo and do a birthday card!!  I used this super sweet Kiki LaRue from CC Designs.  Paper Jewels is our sponsor for the week and you can find CC Designs there!!!!
I used some Kioshi basic grey papers, some primas and wild orchid flowers, and a piece of satin kraft ribbon.  The sentiment is from whimsy stamps.  The rest of the girls created some beautiful projects, so pop on over and have a look when you can!!

Happy Shower for twins!

Afternoon everyone!  Hope you are enjoying a lovely summer day!  I've been trying to finish this card all day it seems!  Lots of little interruption.  But I think it's finally finished! 

A friend of mine is having twins in September.  Her shower is next weekend and I was in charge of the card.  I really wanted to use super cute jelly bean from Whimsy Stamps, but didn't want a super cutsey card,so it was a bit of a struggle!  I stamped jelly bean twice once with pink feet and once with blue.  I then paired them with cappella papers from Basic grey.
I added lots of goodies to this one.  There's stitching, distressing, pearls, primas, wild orchids, ribbon, branches, and little feet charms.
The sentiments are also from Whimsy stamps.  I just love these tickets!  And I did two of them one for each of the babies!

Whimsy Digi Release Hop!

Today I created a card that uses just a sentiment!!!  Really strange for me as I LOVE my copics, but I saw this NEW sentiment set from Ann Vento and knew I had to use it.  I distressed the edges and added some really rough stitching as my sewing machine was not cooperating!  The papers are from SU and the flowers are wild orchids.  I also added some black pearls and twill tape.  That's really about it for this one!
