Happy Shower

Like I said before, I tried to make a baby shower card yesterday and just made a bunch of scraps! Her "theme" is puppies, which I don't really have(gasp! I know), so I tried to work with what I had and just couldn't get a cute baby look. So this is what I came up with for today. She's having a boy, so I went with baja blue, not quite navy and sahara sand(the base). Her dress is from urban garden as is the other piece of DSP. The baja layer is CB'd with swiss dots.

Really cute card! Congrats on your blogversary. My favorite memory this year was getting my first stamps. I've done scrapbooking for years, but I'd never done stamping or a card till this year, actually a few months ago. It's fun!

Email me you address and I'll get those goodies right out to you!
I worked on a baby shower card for my cousin yesterday which I'd love to show you. But, I apparently had misplaced my mojo, so hopefully today I'll find it!!! So check back for that. And pop on over to Stamp Something for your chance at being a guest designer on our team!

Challenge Card

LAST DAY FOR MY BLOG CANDY ENTER -->HERE<--
Well I hope everyone had a fun Halloween weekend! I know we did!! Now that Halloween is over, it's officially time for me to start my holiday cards so I'm not scrambling at the last moment. I haven't succeeded in that yet, maybe this year!! Anyway here's a card I made for 2 challenges and to put a dent in my Christmas card list!! It fits the Whiff of Joy challenge of burgundy and green and the sketch is from Friday Sketchers.
It's cute little Charlie with snowballs from Whiff of Joy that I colored in with my watercolor crayons and a blender pen. I ran a layer of Bravo burgundy through my snowflake CB folder, then rubbed on some white craft ink. The DSP is retired SU. The sentiment is from cute converse. That's one of those sets that I've had for so long and it never saw ink. Now all of a sudden, I can't stop using it! I also added some stickles to the snowballs for some sparkle.
If you havent't yet, pop on over to Stamp Something for a chance to be on the Design Team!!!

Friday Sketcher's Halloween

Hi Everyone! I'm just finishing up my halloween cards with this one I made using the Friday's sketchers sketch. It uses the first set I bought at my first SU! workshop, sweeter treaters, which I still love. I used the colors in SU's frosty days DSP, tangerino tango, kiwi kiss and close to cocoa. I put my middle pumpkin in an antique brass build a brad. The eyelets are antique brass as well.

Blogaversary blog candy and a challenge card

Well everyone I've been trying to post this blog candy for hours, but we were without power!!! Sometimes it's fun to sit by the fire with cocoa and relax when the power goes out, but with 2 little ones, in the middle of the day with blog candy to post, it's a kick in the pants!!! Anyhow....................it's my 1 year blogaversary, I can't believe it!! I am looking forward to my second year of blogging and hope to continue meeting new blogging friends and seeing amazing creations from everyone I visit already! Blogging really has been such a great escape and support for me this year, so I just want to thank everyone who visits and let you know I'm really grateful to have "met" you all!! {{hugs}} So here's the candy.........
A bunch of DSP from assorted companies, Heidi grace alphabet pins, ribbon, a package of rain drops, 4 spools of ribbon, a clear stamp set and block and lots and lots of images(my favorite kind of blog candy) from Gina K, whiff of joy, Stampin' Up!, layers of color, stamping bella, magnolias and more!!! Want to win??? Just leave a comment on this post with a favorite memory of the last year(stamping related or not) then put a post on your blog about my candy to spread the word!! Pretty easy!!! I'll mail anywhere:) You have until Tues., Nov. 4th to enter. Good Luck!!!!!

Here's a card I did for a Gina K. challenge on SCS. The challenge was to use chipboard on a card. So that little, tiny heart, it's chipboard!!! It uses the set just so hippy. The DSP is from SU. The colors are pink pirouette and kiwi kiss
