My fellow stamper and bloger
Denise, had a challenge on her blog to create a card using Stampin Up's punches. So here is my super simple example. This is a
trifold card. I used the flannel background stamp in pale plum on the front. Then using the scallop punch, I punched out the scallop shape. On the inside I embossed the stamp from embrace life using choc. chip craft ink and clear EP (oooh embossing for my Friday challenge I hadn't gotten to yet). I watercolored the image with perfect plum and mellow moss reinkers and my aquapainters. I then used both oval punches for the sentiment which I inked in marker so I could "stack" the sentiment. The oval punches are on a dimensional. I used my 1/8 in circle punch to punch holes for my ribbon to go thru, the moss gingham. Finally I used the slit punch to create a flap to keep the card secure. I also added a rhinestone brad, because really what card is complete without one??? I also sponged the inside edge of the scallop punch with perfect plum to soften it a bit. I plan on using this as a make and take at my workshop tomorrow. Now to think of my next make and take.........

Love it! Thanks for doing my challenge. Aren't punches great!
I was just on Maren's blog and she has an award for the "made my day" blog...so I wanted to tell you that it made my day to see that you did my challenge this week! I love when we are inspired enough by what we see to make us get out the supplies and start stampin'! :)

Great card. I really like the fold. The punches are a great way to highlight that image too.
