Whimsy Challenge...and a few others

Hi All- This is by far the hardest card I've ever made. Not for the reasons you may think though. I started a new workout plan this am and my legs are so sore I almost had to leave the buttons off since they were all the way across the room:)!!!
Other than that it was a piece of cake!! I knew I wanted to use my Whimsy Piggy so pink was an easy choice for the monochromatic challenge on the Whimsy Challenge Blog. I found a great sketch at Friday Sketchers. And I was able to also enter Everybody Art challenge because I used an animal!!! The sentiments are from Digital Stamp Oasis. The brads and buttons are half SU and half basic grey from Whimsy Stamps! The DSP is walk in the park from the occasions mini and pink pirouette prints. I used my CB to emboss the buttons under the hemp.

Digi Tuesday

WOW what a day it was today! It was so gorgeous and HOT!! Tomorrow is back to normal so hopefully I'll be stamping and blog hoppin'! I did come in to make this card for a few challenges. I used the sketch from the creative card crew. I changed it a smidge to work better with the image though. I took the theme from Digital Tuesday's challenge of showers and flowers. Finally, the color combo of green and blue was from a spoonful of sugar.
The image is a digital image from Dustin Pike and the sentiment is DSO. I added some stickles to his wings and the raindrops. The designer paper is retired SU, cutie pie.

Cupcake Craft Challenge 37

I hope everyone had a great weekend! It was a GORGEOUS weekend here! We spent most of it outside. Luckily I made this card way ahead of time so I didn't have to miss a second of the weather.
I used last week's Friday Sketchers' Sketch for this week's Cupcake Craft Challenge. The image is that stinkin cute skunk from whimsy stamps. The papers are Basic grey also available at Whimsy!!! Our challenge was to use 5 different embellies, multiples were OK though. So I did a bunch of flowers, a couple of buttons, a brad, some ribbon and a bit of linen thread. I colored the skunk in with copics and he is popped up on dimensionals. The bottom Baja layer is embossed with the Swiss Dots folder. It's another beautiful day so I'm headed back outside I'll visit you all tomorrow when it's 94!!!

Another Challenge Combo...

Hi All, Here's a quick early post since it is an absolutely gorgeous day out!! This is a card I made for a bunch of challenges. I used the sketch from Sketch and Stash. The stash I used is this designer SU paper which is retired, spring flowers I think. Next is the color combo of brown and green plus blue for the Digital Tuesday Challenge. The creative card crew wanted to see some circles, so I added a circle button, 6 circle brads and a circle sentiment with circle rhinestone. The one stop craft challenge wanted to see something new, this is the first time I've used this image and sentiment so they are new to me! The pink elephant's challenge was a Mother's Day Card and that's what this is so there you have it 5 challenges, 1 card!! Both the image and sentiment are Digital Stamp Oasis. And big news there, Ellie is releasing 8 new ADORABLE images!!! So head on over and check those out. Have a great weekend!!!

Catching Up!!!!!

HI All-- It's a rainy Tuesday here, a perfect day to catch up on my stamping and blogging. It's been so beautiful outside lately, we've been outside from morning until night just enjoying the weather and getting our first veggie garden ready! So this morning I wanted to make a card to catch up on a few challenges I've missed out on over the past 2 weeks or so. I was able to combine 4, not too shabby!!!
I used the sketch and kid theme from Truly Scrumptious. I used the Whimsy Stamp Challenge blog theme of Occasions. I then used the colors from the Copic Colour Challenge (YR07, YG97, R29 and others). Finally, the one stop craft challenge wanted to see some decorative cuts, so I used some "tag" shapes. The stamp and sentiment are both Whimsy Stamps. The decorative papers were all random scraps from my stash.

Sugar Bowl Challenge #8

Hope you are all having a great weekend!! We've been busy to say the least! I think we finished a lot of the prep work for our yard and garden now onto planting and building the swingset!! I found a bit of time to create a card for the Sugar Bowl's sketch this week.
I used this gorjuss girl I received in a swap and my labels nesties! The papers and button are basic grey which I bought at Whimsy Stamps. The ribbon and remain cardstock are SU. She is colored with copics. There are a bunch of dew drops on there as well, just a bit tough to capture them in the pic.
See you tomorrow for a new Cupcake craft challenge!

Color Challenge

Happy Friday everyone!!! This week has flown by! We've been trying to prepare our backyard and garden all week since my husband starts his new job on Monday. So I didn't stamp at all this week. And I missed visiting everyone's blog! Next week I'll catch up though!
I did finish my card for this week's Stamp Something Challenge. We were sponsored by the cutting cafe. I used this super cute sentiment stems and flower tops set. I printed the flowers out on pacific point card stock, then cut out the flower centers. I printed the "just for you" sentiment on white card stock! So quick and easy, just what I needed with my busy week. I also printed a small flower top on bella rose DSP and punched that out as a center. I added some kiwi kiss ribbon as a leaf to the stem sentiment. The paper is cutie pie DSP from SU. The yellow ribbon is the grosgrain from SAB. Check out the rest of the DT gals creations as well as the other great products Regina has at the cutting cafe! Happy weekend! And I hope to visit you all soon!!!

Cupcake Craft Challenge _ One layer

I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend! We did and now we have way too much candy!!! Oh that silly bunny, maybe next year he'll hide fruit!!
This week's challenge over at Cupcake Craft is one layer cards. You could use a base layer and then the layer with stamping. This worked out well for me as I had to make a masculine thank you card. I used kraft card stock and taffeta ribbon. The sentiment is from short and sweet(SU) and the CB folder is paisley on ivory card stock. Super simple, and just perfect for what I needed!
Have a great week!

Good Luck

Hi All. It is super chilly today, so no yard work. Instead I made this card for my hubby who just accepted a new job!! I hope this card brings him luck and keeps away the stress (and stuff you can't or at least shouldn't say on blogger) that was at his old job!
I used Baseball Connor from Whimsy Stamps. The papers are K & Company and I paired them with close to cocoa and baja breeze. The sentiment is hand written. Connor is colored with copics and I added some doodles.
I realized this card also qualifies for a new challenge blog, the stamptacular Sunday challenge blog. It's a new blog so the theme there is new!

The sentiment and card stock are SU. I am stamping a card now that I've been waiting quite awhile to stamp, I'll post then when I'm done!! Have a great night:)

First Cupcake Craft DT Challenge

Happy Monday!!! Hope you all had a great weekend. Today is such an exciting day, not only is it opening day for the Red Sox, but it is also my first Cupcake Craft Challenge. Our challenge this week was to make something with lots of folds. I had to make an engagement card for a friend of mine and thought the Joy fold would work perfectly. The fold itself isn't terribly difficult, but photographing the card certainly was!! This was the best I could get. The front of the card is clasped under the happiness oval. Then the whole card opens to the left. This dress is one of the first stamps I ever purchased, I just think it's so elegant. I cut it out and popped it up on dimensionals on a white layer that I embossed with my floral fantasy CB folder. The DSP is SU bella Rose. Be sure to check out the rest of the DT's folded creations. Everyone keep their fingers crossed the rain holds off!!!!!!

It's finally warm!!

Hi All! I hope it was a nice day today where you were because it was gorgeous here!! We did lots of yard work to get ready for some new plants this year. I wouldn't consider myself someone with a green thumb, but I am sure trying!!
I squeaked in a bit of stamp time during nap today. I combined a ton of challenges since I haven't had a lot of time this week to stamp! So I took the sketch from A spoonful of sugar, where Denise from Whimsy is the sponsor!!! I used the Easter theme from both Dutch Dare challenge and Lili of the valley. Finally I used the copic colors of R00, E47 and B06 from the copic colour challenge. Whew!
This SUPER cute pig is the newest release from Whimsy stamps! I love her! I used walk in the park and candy lane papers from SU along with cameo coral and pink pirouette. Some buttons are Basic grey from whimsy stamps others are SU. And the pink satin ribbon was a gift from Jo, thanks Jo!! The sentiment is from fancy flexible phrases, I really need to invest in an Easter sentiment stamp! OK join me and the rest of the gals at Stamp Something tomorrow for a fun challenge!
