Happy Halloween!!!! I'm doing yardwork today. Then it's trick-or0treating tonight with my puppy and rose fairy. Here's the card I made for this week's Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential. This week we were all about words! I chose to use this Halloween paper from K&Company I found on sale at my local SS. The image is from prickley pear, our sponsor this week, it is embossed with iridescent ice and super sparkly IRL. It's a bit hard to see in the photo though.
Have a happy and safe holiday!!

But there are tons of fun things happening in November. One is the layers of colors release party on the 14th and 15th!! Laura from LOC will even have party favors for everyone who pops over!
I'm very excited to be guest designing for LOC for the next few weeks up to the party! This is my first card using the Reindeer waltz set. Halloween One Sheet Box

It's Saturday, so it's time for another Saturday Spotlight challenge!!!! This week we're all making Halloween treat containers! Perfect for the upcoming holiday! When it comes to bags or boxes, this one is my favorite!! It's called a one sheet box, I found the instructions HERE on SCS. Besides being super cute, this little bag is one sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 card stock with NO CUTTING!! It's just 4 score lines and 4 folds! Quick and easy just what I need when it comes to boxes! I used my spider wheel. It's hard to see in the photo, but I put 2 eyelets on each side of the bag to loop my ribbon too. That way there is NO adhesive either! Did I mention this was easy??? The image is a digi designed by Robin Willis. I stamped it twice so I could pop the spider up on dimensionals and color the first layer orange. Check out the rest of the treat containers from the other divas, tons of awesome ideas!!!

Stamp Something blingy!

So it's SNOWING here today!!!!!! I couldn't believe it! Looks like I'll be building a fire after I finish this post!!
Onto the card! I made this one for my neighbor Paige who will be coming home this weekend!! Anyone who would like to send her a welcome home card please do! Just email me for my address and I'll deliver to Paige. I received a thank you card from them yesterday and wanted to share parts of it with you as you all deserve much of the thanks! They said mail call was an anxiously awaited part of the day that brought a smile to Paige's face. And that was what they ALL needed! So hugs to you all who helped out! You can also still visit Whimsy Stamps to purchase a Teddy for Paige image, all proceeds from this image go directly to Paige.
I used rose red, choc chip, and Bermuda bay on this one. I think I needed to center my circle a bit more or have used smaller flowers. Not sure which, maybe both. I may fiddle with it a bit before I send it over. My bling is on miss bitty's antennae, flower and wings. For the sentiment I stamped "welcome ba" from a welcome baby stamp then added the "ck" myself. Did I mention copics are the prize of the week again at Stamp Something????? A set of 12 Spicas!!!!

Cupcake Craft Button Challenge

Good morning!!! The girls have off from school today so we are getting ready for a playdate. But first I want to share my Cupcake craft challenge card for the week with you. Our challenge was to use stitching and buttons. I did faux stitching since I'm not yet brave enough to try real stitching on a card and I added a few buttons as flower centers. The image is a freebie from Mo's digital pencil. I just got a few new purple copics, so I really wanted to test them out! It's a bit hard to tell from the photo, but I popped the little pup up on dimensionals.

Saturday Spotlight with HIdden Potential #2

It's time for Saturday Spotlight's 2nd challenge. This week we needed to dress a tree. Our sponsor is DRS who donated 2 images for the DT to play with this week. When I heard the challenge I knew I wanted to make a tree out of a snowflake stamp, so that's what I picked! I followed the sketch from Sketch and stash and used a bunch of my retired Christmas papers. I added a bunch of rhinestones to dress up my tree. The trunk is 2 pieces of ribbon. I added some chunky glitter because I couldn't get the bottom to look right and well you can't go wrong with sparkle! To go along with Cute Card Thursday's so charming theme I added a snowflake charm as the star of my tree top. The whole tree is 3D so I am entering it at Pile it on as well. Finally I entered a new to me challenge, scrappy frogs who had a tree challenge! Hope you can play along this week!!!! Here's the rest of the gals!

It's Friday!!! It's also the beginning of a 4 day weekend and another Stamp Something challenge! This week we'd like to see you use brown on your projects. I used brown, orange and a hint of green. The image is from Belles and whistles and the fence is from C.C. Designs. On the weekends, I work at a function hall that does mostly weddings. Usually there are little trinkets left behind like matches or chocolates. Well last week they left behind this yummy orange ribbon!!!! She, Paige age 13, was in a serious boating accident a few weeks ago and just had part of her arm amputated. The doctors are working to save the rest, but are unsure how much they can do. Here is a link to the article that describes it more in detail. Included in the article it mentions they've run out of room for flowers and stuffed animals, but cards are welcome.
