Need Coffee???

Good morning!!!  It's all about coffee today at Saturday Spotlight!!!  The Spotlight Divas would like to challenge you to create something with COFFEE in mind! You don't HAVE to use coffee images for this challenge, you can take inspiration from the colors you think of in coffee like rich browns, blacks, tan/creamy colors, etc.
Our sponsor is Regina from the Cutting cafe, so I used this fun image from her got coffee set.  The papers are Basic grey, nook and pantry. I also added some yummy coffee colored ribbon and flowers!  Well I don't know about you, but I need some coffee!!!! (well tea actually, but you get the idea)

For those of you new to Pixie Cottage stamps, they are available at Michelle's Scrapbooking and more.   I used the Sweet Molly image.  I colored her with copics and added lots of sparkly accents!  I used some of my DCWV papers from the sweet pack, so even the papers are sparkly!

Doodle, doodle, doodle

Good morning!!!!  It's a strange morning here as it is snowing, when it was 60 degrees yesterday! Ahhh New England!  It's also time for a stamp something challenge.  We're looking for doodles today!

I chose to doodle around this sweet whiff of joy image. I also ran the brown piece of DP through the CB with a doodly folder, but then covered a lot of it up with primas!  I added some stickles to the rain drops and some spica gel highlights to her hair for a little sparkle.  The DP is from my mind's eye and is a bit doodly itself.  I'm thinking doodly is not a word, but I like it anyway!  The sentiment is a retired SU set fancy flexible phrases, it works great with these tiny little tag punches.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the team!! Play along if you can, there's a Simon Says gift cert. up for grabs.  You could even use it for this stamp!

Cute little ladybug...

Hi All. I have a fun little ladybug to share with you today.  She from Lindsay's stamp stuff.  Ladybugs took over this card actually.  I have the ladybug image, ladybugs on both pieces of DSP and a tiny ladybug charm!  I just think they're so cute!  I added some cherry blossoms and rhinestones too.  The sentiment is from Whimsy stamps.  This is a color combo I don't use very often but you have to do something different every once and awhile right?!?!?  I have a list full of errands for today so hopefully I can blog hop later tonight.  Be sure to check out the rest of the team!

A Magnolia Easter

Morning everyone!!!  What a little teaser last week was.  It was warm, sunny and just gorgeous!  Now it's cold, rainy and icky!  So I decided to create my own spring with my card!!!

I used this super sweet Magnolia image which I received from Denise!!!  Thanks hun, I LOVE her!!!!  She also stamped it on different card stock and that was great too!!  I was so excited for this image as I had just won a gift certificate to Simon Says and spent it on some fun flock!!!!  This stuff ROCKS!  It's so soft and easy to use and really made this little sheep look even cuter!!!!

The paper is basic grey LilyKate and I added my standard embellies...primas, SU ribbon and MS punch out branches.  I also added some buttons, hadn't used those in awhile!!!  I also made it in to an easel card, since I'm on an easel kick right now!  I don't jazz up the inside too much as I have really large handwriting and need some room to write!  And my daughters sign their names so we need room for that as well.

The sentiment is from SU as are the oval punches.  Stop by later for some fun news!!!!

Pretty Pear-tunia

Morning everyone!!!!  Hope you're doing well so far this week.  For once, we have a pretty open calendar, so I hope to get some extra stamping in!  This is the first card I made so far.

I used pretty peartunia from Whimsy stamps.  I just love her big, ol' bum!  I paper pieced her outfit and colored the rest of her with copics. I also addedstickles to her wings which don't really show in the picture since it's so dark and rainy here today. I also added a fun pear charm which is available at Whimsy Stamps too!!!

I used the pinking hearts punch from SU along with primas and pearls to finish this one.  It's another easel card, so fun and easy!!!  I used twill tape on the inside, I found it in a bin!!!  The sentiment is from fancy flexible phases, a retired SU set.

Happy Birthday

What a great challenge at Saturday Spotlight today!!!  It's a birthday card challenge with a twist.....
The Spotlight Divas would like to challenge you to create a nice birthday card...BUT WAIT!!! It's not THAT simple!! We would like for you to use YOUR birthstone color on your creation as well! Don't know what it is? We can help! Check out this link to find YOUR birthstone color: CLICK HERE!!
Have fun and we can't wait to see what you come up with!

My daughter has a birthday party to attend this afternoon so this was the perfect challenge for me!  I created this card for her friend's 6th birthday.  She likes purple which was fantastic because my birthday is in June.  My birthstone in alexandrite which has always been light purple, this site shows it as turquoise which is pretty but I went with the purple.  Pearl is the stone for June as well so I added some pearls too.
How cute is this little stamping boutique image!!! I colored her with copics and added some stickles for fun!
The papers are from My mind's eye, totally girl and I went with pale plum and basic gray card stock.  The sentiment is from SU.  I added some primas and of course a few little branches from my MS punch.  I really think I need a support group for that punch, I can't make a card without it now!!!!!
Don't forget to visit the rest of the divas and leave them a note!  Have a great weekend!

Distressed!

Good morning!!!!  I don't know about where you are, but here today we are looking forward to some GORGEOUS weather!!!!!  The girls and I just can't get enough of being outside!!!  That doesn't really lend itself to crafting or cleaning but oh well, we're having fun while the weather lasts!

So we're looking for distressed projects at Stamp Something this week!  I love the look of distressing, it's so soft and pretty.  I also tend to use yellows and brown when I distress, not sure why, just seems to be a trend  I have.

Our sponsor this week is Stamp and Create, so I decided to use a Wags n Whiskers image, He loves me.   What a little sweetie this girl is and her cute little pup!  The papers are Basic Grey Porcelain with banana and cocoa card stock.  The sentiment is from SU, short and sweet, and I popped it up on the knot of the satin ribbon.  I added some prima flowers and a few pearls as well.

Karen's Doodles Challenge #2

It's a spring or Easter theme for the week over at Karen's Doodles US Challenge.  I chose an image that could work for both themes, but did a little more spring than Easter.  The image is called love at first sight and I just thought she was such a cutie!!!!  She's holding a little bunny and wearing her sweet little tutu.  She reminds me of my girls who love stuffed animals and to dress up!  I had a lot of cream and pink scraps still out on my craft table, so I decided to use that combo again, so soft and springy I think!  The designer paper is from my mind's eye and is covered with butterflies.  I colored the image with copics and added some gold spica to her hair.  The vanilla ribbon is from SU and the flowers are either primas or from Whimsy stamps.  The sentiment is Whimsy as well.  Finally, I added some pearls and a butterfly charm.  Hope you can join us in the challenge this week!!! A slick Saturday Spotlight

Good morning!!!!  Time for another fun Saturday Spotlight challenge!!!  This week the Divas....would like to challenge you to be "so slick"! Nope, it's not a typo! We mean "slick" as in slick card stock, embellishments, acetate paper, crystal lacquer, etc. etc....list can go on and on! We figured this was the season for Spring rain, so why not make something slick or 'wet looking'! Sound like fun?!! Grab your slickness and get creating! We'd love to see what you come up with!
This was a tricky one for me.  We(well mainly my father) more often use slick to mean good as in "oooh this will work slick."  or sarcastically as in "slick move" when you do something pretty stupid or finally as in icy roads. So I really didn't know what to do.  I looked at my sassy studios images and saw the lady in the bath with water on the floor.  Well water on tile floors is slick, so I thought that would work slick(see what I'm doing here with the word play??? yep it's early!!)  Then I added a little crystal effects to the floor and bubbles and thought that actually is slick!
The papers are basic gray wisteria and the sentiment is from SU.  I also added some primas and pearls for a girly touch.  Check out the rest of the divas slick creations HERE.

Something cream and green

Good morning!!!  It's rainy here today, but that's OK.  I have daffodils, tulips, and other little flowers starting to pop through and they need some water.  I am so excited for spring and to see what other plants "come back" after this bitter cold winter.  We have a springy theme at Stamp Something today too!!  It can actually work for spring, St. Patrick's Day or many other occasions.  It's greens and creams.  I decided to do an Easter card so I can cross those off my to do list.
I went with this adorable cupcake image from Belles and Whistles.  I stamped her on ivory card stock.  It was a different brand and color CS than I usually use so it took a bit of getting used to with my Copics.  I added a smidge of blue and orange to the image as I didn't think a green cat would work:)
The papers are Basic grey, lilykate I think.  The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.  It's a holiday postmark so you knew I'd love it!!! I added assorted flowers and gems along with a charm to finish it up.  The rest of the DT outdid themselves with gorgeous creations this week, so pop on over to SS and join in the fun!!!! Bunny Zoe is the sponsor this week with a fabulous  prize!

I love Lindsay's little Easter basket, so I used that along with some K & Company Easter paper, satin ribbon, a charm and pearls!  That was it!  Wondering about the paper color?????  It's mauve mist from SU.  I had an unopened pack and thought it was time to dive in!!!  The sentiment I generated on my computer.  I added some faux stitching as well.  OK that's it for that one!!!
Here's some info from Lindsay about sales, freebies and new product!!!
I am running a 30% off sale at the Lindsay's Stamp Stuff shop at MyGrafico through Sunday! All Digital stamps, papers and SVG Cricut cutting template are on sale! Remember you get your stuff instantly when you order from the MyGrafico shop!

Happy Birthday

Hi Everyone!!
A quick little post to share with you today before I get to my errands and cleaning!!!  This was a fun, quick card to make.  I wanted to try out this new Bildmalarna stamp and needed another birthday card for a 6 year old.  So here's what I came up with.
I decided to do an easel card, since they're fancy yet quick and easy.  I love making them but have such a hard time photographing them.  I used bright and cheery Basic grey Lemonade papers.  The sheer ribbon is recycled from a gift or something, I can't remember where it came from, it was just in my jar waiting to be used.  The colors are rich razzleberry and pink pirouette.  I colored her with copics and added a touch of sparkle to her hair with my gold spica pen.  The sentiment is from Whimsy stamps.  I also added some girly pearls and a charm as a finishing touch.  Have a great day!!
