I have a Stamp Something card to share first though.
We have a fun sketch designed by Denise today!!!  I decided to knock 2 items off the to do list and use the sketch for an upcoming wedding card I need.  I used my mind's eye papers and this cute bride image from CC Designs.  You can find CC Designs at Simon Says who is our sponsor this week!! Splashing in puddles with Lindsay's Stamp Stuff

Another fun Thursday is here!!!  We are supposed to be getting a heatwave for the weekend so I wanted to make a fun springy card!  I chose to use the rain boots and puddle from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff's puddle fun set. I used some bright cheery basic grey papers and primas.  I paper pieced the boots and added them to the puddle.  The sentiment is from SU because what could be happier than jumping in puddles????  I finished the card with some pink pirouette ribbon and stitching.  The rest of the gals have some projects for you to check out too, so if you have a chance, pop over for a visit!  Lindsay also has a super cute freebie set on MyGrafico, click here to take a look and download!

Karen's Doodles #8

WOW Monday already!!!!  Where does the time go???  We are beginning school vacation week, so I am looking forward to a fun week!!
Starting the fun is the Karen's Doodles US challenge!!!!!  The challenge this week is to create something for mom, or a feminine card.  Mother's day is right around the corner here in the US.  I already created a card for my mom, so I decided to do a fun one!!!  I was inspired by Janna, my Stamp Something teammie's, card.  I loved the fun bright colors and all the ribbon!!!  So this is my take on that.
I used one of Karen's new images, I love you this much boy. How cute is he???
I used summer picnic DSP from SU.  And lots of ribbon!!!!!  I tied the ribbon through the jumbo eyelets which are kind of hidden now :)  Please stop by and visit the other gals, and play along for your chance at some Karen's doodles of your own!!!

Shower card for a friend

Hi everyone, hope everyone is having a lovely weekend so far.  We are doing tons of yard work and luckily the weather is cooperating!!!!  I wanted to share this card with you before I headed outside for the day.  A friend of mine needed a bridal shower card for today, so I said I'd give her one from my stash.  But I had a little extra time so I made a new one.  This is one of my all time favorite images and one of the first stamps I've ever purchased.  I thought it would look beautiful with this bella blue paper from SU.  I used some brocade blue scraps and Ivory card stock. I embossed and distressed with scissors and ink.  Both sentiments are from SU one is from teeny tiny wishes and the other is from a super old set.  I added a few blue highlights to the dress with my copic. And that's about it, it went together pretty quickly!

So...I Sewed!!!

That's right after looking at everyone's gorgeous stitched cards I finally worked up the courage to sew on my own card!!  And you know what??  It was SO easy!!!  I'm sure you'll be seeing lots of stitching on my cards from now on!!  One of my close college friends just had her first baby, so I wanted to make her a card using Proud Mama from Whimsy Stamps.  And incidentally today is her birthday, so Happy Birthday to Mama Missy!!!
I used a mixture of basic grey and SU papers for this one.  I also used bunches of assorted flowers and pearls.  I added my favorite yummy ribbon from SU.  Then stitched the edges!!!  Proud mama is cut out and popped up on dimensionals.  The sentiment comes with the proud mama set, so that worked out perfectly!
Have a great day, I'll be outside enjoying this sunny weather!!! YAY!

Lindsay's Stamp Stuff HOP!!!

Hope you are enjoying all the fun and excitement this week at Lindsay's Stamping Stuff!!!  Welcome to Day #3!!!!  If you're following the hop, you should have arrived here from                 Leanne's Blog  if not, come join in the fun at the beginning at Lindsay's .  I will be giving away the set I used in my first card.  This is the vintage Alice printables set.  I used it for the card not in my style challenge over at Lindsay's crop, hop and shop!  This card is sooooooo not my style, but I really kind of like it!!!  I love the image and all the fun black and white papers together!
Challenges...
A spoonful of sugar....sketch
Die cut dreams...vintage no coloring
Charisma...monochromatic

Want a second chance to win this set?????  Just add this badge to your blog!!!!!!  Pretty easy huh?
My second card is a bit more playful!!!  It's the cute little pirate cupcake freebie!  So it qualifies for the birthday card using a freebie challenge.  I paper pieced him top and bottom.  The papers are super sparkle so there's a lot of sparkle in real life.  I decided with all the blue it's probably be a card for a boy, so I didn't add flowers.  Instead, I embellished with some star punchies and metal brads.  I did add a little piece of ribbon but it has polka dots, they're boyish right?????

Anyway from here hop on to Rhonda's Blog to continue on in the fun.  Remember to leave a comment and you may be the random winner of this fabulous Vintage Alice set!!!!  Have fun crop, hop and shop-ing!!!!
Challenges...

Sundays with crissy GDT

Good morning!!!  Hope you're having a lovely Sunday so far.  A very exciting day here as my hubby is preparing for his first 10K run today!!  And I am a Guest DT for Sundays with Crissy, a new challenge blog by Crissy Armstrong!!  This week's challenge is....
#1 Make It A Combo
You may interpret that any way you like!  You may combine multiple challenges, you may combine digi stamps with rubber stamps, multiple designer papers, multiple types of embellishments - really the sky is the limit.  And honestly, what project have we ever made that is not a combination of something!  Even combining colours counts!
You can use any image, digital or rubber, combine with other challenges and enter as many times as you like, but to be entered in the prize draw which this time around is COPICS!!!!, you need to use a digi by Crissy.  You can purchase these gorgeous digis instantly at Squigglefly and beginning tomorrow at WHIMSY STAMPS(woohoo.)

I was super excited when Crissy asked the Whimsy DT gals to GDT this week!!!  Thanks Crissy!!!  I decided to go with Crissy's new Whimsy image, Maya blowing bubbles.  I have quite a few combos for this one...I combined flowers with punchies, 3 different designer paper patterns and a few challenges:)
The papers are basic grey Euphoria.  I colored Maya with copics and added a combo of different embellies.  I have buttons, ribbon, brads, spacers, flowers.  I just realized how blurry this photo is.  I believe one of my girls may have hit a few buttons!
Be sure to check out the rest of the DTs work!!

Something Stitched

Good morning everyone!!  Who is ready for the weekend?? I know I am!  But first I have my Stamp Something card for you.  The challenge this week was to include stitching.  I had planned on using my sewing machine for this one but chickened out at the last minute and opted for faux stitching instead.  Our sponsor this week is Paper Jewels, they carry Bildmalarnas and sweet pea stamps.  I went with a bildmalarna, isn't she sweet!  I just can't say no to cupcakes!
The papers are my mind's eye and I added some prima flowers and bling along with some buttons.  The ribbon is SU.
Check out the stitching from the rest of the gals! WOW!

I have a sneak peek for you today of the new Whimsy Stamps digital line!!!!  I used the new gift horse image created by Crissy Armstrong and the gift horse sentiment created by Ann Vento.  The papers are from the fun in the sun glitter stack from DCWV so there's a bit of sparkle!  I tried to keep it on the boyish side so no flowers and minimal ribbon.  The background paper is flowers, but it's pretty covered up with the image.
Keep an eye out for more sneak peeks from the Whimsy DT  until the official release of the digi line on April 12th.
