Thank You

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday. We were busy and sick but it was still fantastic. I am looking forward to 4 more days with family and friends before everything goes back to normal again. There was not a lot of time left over for crafting or blog hopping this week, but I wanted to share something new. So here's a fun little image I got for Christmas. Iused some K& Company papers and colored her with Copics. Quick post as we are getting ready for a play date:) Best wishes for a safe and Happy New Year!!! See you in 2010!

BUt there are 5 others in the set waiting to get inky!
Sooo to win this stamp all you need to do is leave a comment on this post and since we are in the middle of the holiday season, how about sharing the best thing that's happened so far this season. I'll be picking the random winner at some point tomorrow. My hubby and I have our annual Christmas Eve day of fun planned so it will be after that:)

White Christmas

Well it is COLD today!!!! My thermometer says 10 degrees, but the wind is howling so it feels a lot colder!!! I plan on staying by the fire as long as I can! It's also Thursday, so another fun day with Lindsay's Stamp Stuff. I saw a card on Denise's blog the other day that was all white and really wanted to make one!! So I picked this ornament image from Christmas potpourri and gave it a whirl!! I just think all white is so clean and pretty, and of course sparkly too!!! I used the swirls and snowflakes embossing folders, pearls, ribbon, a giant snowflake and some buttons. I also distressed all the edges and sprayed with shimmer spritz. The rest of the ladies have some wonderful creations to, be sure to check those out! Lindsay is also offering a buy 2 get 1 free deal, so it's a great time to stock up!

Belles and Whistles Day 16 Advent Giveaway

Morning everyone!
Welcome to the 16th Day of the Belles and Whistles advent giveaway! I decided to share my matchbox advent calendar using the Christmas hearth image. This project is actually pretty easy and lots of fun!! I used retired SU wintergreen papers with sage and artichoke cardstock. The drawer pulls are flower spacers I attached with crystal effects. Each little box holds a Hershey's miniature. I used my snowflake die to punch out some snowflakes for the sides. I first embossed them with iridescent ice then added either a pearl or rhinestone to the center.
The card on top is my first attempt at an easel card! Another really fun and easy project! I colored the image with copics and then sprayed with shimmer mist. Then added a bow. The card will hold a gift card as this advent calendar is on its way to my soon to be sister in law as her Christmas gift.
Be sure to check out the Belles and Whistles blog for you chance at a fabulous goodie bag:)

Hello All!!! Another busy holiday day here! We are finally decorating our gingerbread house. As long as we still have candy left that is!! I wanted to share this Doodle Palace card with you first though. They are releasing some new borders this week! I used the bones and balls border paired with this little mail pup. The papers are retired SU and I used them to make a die cut snowflake as well. Added lots of glitter glue to really make some sparkly snow! The sentiment is from Whimsy stamps.

WOJ Christmas

The snow has just started here. And I have a little stamping break thanks to a a nap and a football game!! I decided to use this WOJ image today since I haven't inked him up in a little while. I paper pieced his hat with the same DSP as the card and colored him with copics. I also did his outline and the snowflake in stickles for some sparkle.

A musical Saturday Spotlight with Belles and Whistles

The weekend is here! I am looking forward to 2 fun Christmas parties tonight and then a day of relaxing tomorrow!! I may start wrapping, who knows! I've never been done Christmas shopping so early so I really don't know what to do! I'll probably do as much stamping as I can so I can take a break with the family for Christmas.
Our challenge at Saturday spotlight is to make a card with your favorite musical style. Well I LOVE Christmas music. I actually make a CD each year to send out with my Christmas cards. I tried to take a year off a few years ago and well after tons of emails wondering where it was, I put one together!
I chose this adorable Belles and whistles image, Belle's Carols, for this one. I added some yummy cranberry ribbon and a shiny burgundy prima. I also spritzed the image with shimmer spray to give it lots of sparkle. The papers are Basic Grey.
Check out the rest of the girls to see what their favorite music is:)

Lindsay's Stamp Stuff

Good morning! We are gearing up for a jam packed day today. The girls are very excited as the day includes a visit to Santa. My fingers are crossed that the little one is OK with him this year.
The card for today features a wreath from Lindsay's stamp stuff. I printed it twice so I could cut out the image and pop it up. The papers are Wassill from Basic Grey. I also added some gold accents and flowers. I also used my Martha Stewart snowflake punch to create a border.

Whimsy Advent Event ~ Day 9!!

Here we are, the 9th of December already!!!! Thanks to the storm outside we have tons of white fluffy snow and it looks a lot like Christmas out there! We'll see if it stays pretty all the way to Christmas or not! No school today so we are staying nice and warm by the fire and coloring up a storm!
I chose to use m N'ice friends image from Whimsy Stamps today! I love this little guy, or gal since she's in pink today! So quick and easy to color and super adorable! Check out my sidebar for the other DT gals featuring the advent event today, there may be some free rubber available!!
I used vellum for my snowflake. I used my snowflake sizzlet to cut it out, then covered in iridescent ice EP and heat set. I also ran some vellum thru my CB using the snowflakes folder to add to the top of the pink layer. The paper is my mind's eye that Denise was so kind to share!
The paper is sparkly and I added glitter where ever I could! I also used a teeny tiny brad I found at my LSS the other day as the center of my flower.
Now to write Christmas Cards and have some cocoa!

Snow Angel Emma

This card reminds me of yesterday. The girls were outside making snow angels like crazy! Unlike Thursday when we were outside in short sleeves eating popsicles. Ahhhh the joys of New England. Bare feet to boots in 24 hours! This is a new image from Fred, She said. I cut out Emma, the snow angel and popped her up on tape after I covered the snow below her with glitter. The papers are from Basic Grey and the sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.

Cooking with Belles and Whistles

Afternoon everyone! Late post today as I was taking the girls' holiday picture earlier. That is always an adventure in this house! We were going to include the kitty in this year, but I know my limits!!
I snuck in a bit of time to make this card using baking with Nana from Belles and Whistles! The Advent giveaway is in full swing, check out the blog for your chance to win some goody bags! I used some DSP from an old scrappin kit from SU. I colored in the image with copics and added some sponging and doodles to the edge. Finally I added a few different embellies to dress it up!
The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps. Check out my sidebar of the site for details on how to win free whimsy rubber during their advent event!

Christmas flowers

It's the weekend!!! That means time for another Saturday Spotlight Challenge! This week's theme is to...... use flowers with Christmas in mind! Poinsettias will count for your flowers....use red, green, white flowers or make your own with the Christmas spirit in mind...
So I decided to pair some prima hydrangeas with a Christmas image from Mo's digital pencil for my Christmas flowers. I used retired SU paper along with sage and razzleberry card stock. The paper are also poinsettias so I have flowers covered there too! The other divas have some amazing samples for you too and there is a wonderful Inktegrity prize available so give this one a try!

Glitz with Belles and Whistles!!!

What a fun word!! And fun stuff too, I just love glitz! That's the challenge of the day at Stamp Something today. I chose to add some glitz to this brand new Belles and Whistles image, Star of Bethlehem. I also used some more of the my mind's eye paper Denise shared with me, every piece is just so sparkly!!! I added a charm that says "believe" to the ribbon, it was an impulse buy while I was at the store yesterday, 40% off!! The girls have been colored with copics and then lightly covered with glitter. The rest of the girls made some glitzy creations, so be sure to check those out; while you're there see how you can join the Stamp Something team!!!

Whimsy Advent Event and Lindsay's Stamping Stuff

Morning!!! It's day 3 of the Whimsy Advent event!!!!! And I have some Whimsy inspiration for you!!! I used the very present helpers image from Crissy Armstrong for this one. I paired it with some wassill basic grey papers and the whimsy holiday postmark sentiment. One of my fellow DT gals is offering a prize today so check out the Whimsy site for more details!

I'll be spending some time now creating my Christmas wish list for my secret Santa. My husband said things that aren't stamp related um WHAT??? Why would I want something non-stamp related when I NEED copics, nesties and other goodies?? Although flower soft sounds like it could be for gardening......:)

I was just playing around with some new I paper I received from Denise, thanks sooooo much!!! And came up with this fun, bright cutie! Not my normal color choices but I wanted to challenge myself with the SPCC color combo this week of red, lavender and white, tricky huh? I added some celery too to match these fun my mind's eye papers. The image is from Whimsy Stamps. And I just used a charm for the sentiment.
