White Christmas

Well it is COLD today!!!! My thermometer says 10 degrees, but the wind is howling so it feels a lot colder!!! I plan on staying by the fire as long as I can! It's also Thursday, so another fun day with Lindsay's Stamp Stuff. I saw a card on Denise's blog the other day that was all white and really wanted to make one!! So I picked this ornament image from Christmas potpourri and gave it a whirl!! I just think all white is so clean and pretty, and of course sparkly too!!! I used the swirls and snowflakes embossing folders, pearls, ribbon, a giant snowflake and some buttons. I also distressed all the edges and sprayed with shimmer spritz. The rest of the ladies have some wonderful creations to, be sure to check those out! Lindsay is also offering a buy 2 get 1 free deal, so it's a great time to stock up!

Belles and Whistles Day 16 Advent Giveaway

Morning everyone!
Welcome to the 16th Day of the Belles and Whistles advent giveaway! I decided to share my matchbox advent calendar using the Christmas hearth image. This project is actually pretty easy and lots of fun!! I used retired SU wintergreen papers with sage and artichoke cardstock. The drawer pulls are flower spacers I attached with crystal effects. Each little box holds a Hershey's miniature. I used my snowflake die to punch out some snowflakes for the sides. I first embossed them with iridescent ice then added either a pearl or rhinestone to the center.
The card on top is my first attempt at an easel card! Another really fun and easy project! I colored the image with copics and then sprayed with shimmer mist. Then added a bow. The card will hold a gift card as this advent calendar is on its way to my soon to be sister in law as her Christmas gift.
Be sure to check out the Belles and Whistles blog for you chance at a fabulous goodie bag:)

A musical Saturday Spotlight with Belles and Whistles

The weekend is here! I am looking forward to 2 fun Christmas parties tonight and then a day of relaxing tomorrow!! I may start wrapping, who knows! I've never been done Christmas shopping so early so I really don't know what to do! I'll probably do as much stamping as I can so I can take a break with the family for Christmas.
Our challenge at Saturday spotlight is to make a card with your favorite musical style. Well I LOVE Christmas music. I actually make a CD each year to send out with my Christmas cards. I tried to take a year off a few years ago and well after tons of emails wondering where it was, I put one together!
I chose this adorable Belles and whistles image, Belle's Carols, for this one. I added some yummy cranberry ribbon and a shiny burgundy prima. I also spritzed the image with shimmer spray to give it lots of sparkle. The papers are Basic Grey.
Check out the rest of the girls to see what their favorite music is:)

Whimsy Advent Event ~ Day 9!!

Here we are, the 9th of December already!!!! Thanks to the storm outside we have tons of white fluffy snow and it looks a lot like Christmas out there! We'll see if it stays pretty all the way to Christmas or not! No school today so we are staying nice and warm by the fire and coloring up a storm!
I chose to use m N'ice friends image from Whimsy Stamps today! I love this little guy, or gal since she's in pink today! So quick and easy to color and super adorable! Check out my sidebar for the other DT gals featuring the advent event today, there may be some free rubber available!!
I used vellum for my snowflake. I used my snowflake sizzlet to cut it out, then covered in iridescent ice EP and heat set. I also ran some vellum thru my CB using the snowflakes folder to add to the top of the pink layer. The paper is my mind's eye that Denise was so kind to share!
The paper is sparkly and I added glitter where ever I could! I also used a teeny tiny brad I found at my LSS the other day as the center of my flower.
Now to write Christmas Cards and have some cocoa!
