Doodle Palace New Release!!!!

Evening everyone!!! What a day we had today!! It felt a bit like fall today, which was appropriate since we were at school. I hope it was gorgeous where you are as well.
I have a fun card to share with you today!! It's my first card as a doodle palace princess!!! The fabulous ladies from DP asked me to be a part of their team and there was no way I was saying no to that!!! So I got a sneak peek at this week's images!! How cute is this little pumpkin boy!!! What's great

is that thru Sept 1, they are offering a 60% off sale, tons of digis for 1$ each!! So pop on over and get some cute doodles for yourself!!!
I colored my little pumpkin boy with copics and sponged a bit of baja breeze around him. I put the card together using the sketch from everybody Art Challenge. The papers are SU one is retired ski slope (I think) and the other is brand new tall tales. Any guesses on the sentiment?.....yep teeny tiny wishes!!!! I used black, olive and yoyo yellow to fit along with SPCC. I added 3 regal rose flowers so I could use all 4 colors and I thought they were cute:) I did a couple recipes with this one too. The first is the pink elephant, 1 ribbon, 2 squares and something that sparkles. So I have black grosgrain, 2 square rhinestone brads and they sparkle!! The second recipe is dare you to digi..1 ribbon, 2 patterned paper and 3 flowers. I also ran the black oval through my CB using the swirls folder.
We have gymnastics tomorrow, our first organized activity, so we are very excited and a bit nervous!!! Then Wednesday is first full day of school!!! Not sure if that will allow me to stamp more or less...we'll see!! Have a great day!

Cupcake Recipe:)

Hi Everyone!!! Hope you had a fabulous weekend! We finally crossed everything off my daughter's kindergarten list and we're ready to start school!! Had to go to 3 stores to find a lunch bag and scrubbing bubbles wipes!!! Anyway........Cupcake is hosting a recipe challenge this week 3 buttons, 2 papers and 1 ribbon! And there is a quixotic paperiere gift certificate up for grabs!!! I made this card to put in my daughter's lunch bag for her 1st day of kindergarten Wednesday. I used Emma with Umbrella from whimsy stamps. I have 3 buttons, 2 blue one white flower. Two papers both from SU's level 3 hostess set. And one yummy razzleberry ribbon! I started with the sketch from Lili of the Valley and the colors from the copic colour challenge of E47, BG23, R85. I used the closest copics I had of E47, B31 and R23. The colors went perfectly with bashful blue, razzleberry and soft suede. The ABC challenge wanted to see circles, so I have plenty of those.
Whimsy stamps wanted to see touchy feely cards, so I embossed Emma's umbrella to make it bumpy. Simon Says is doing back to school and since this is a first day of school card, I thought it would work. Finally, pile it on wanted a bunch of challenges and round things!

Scrap and Stamp Saturday

Hi All! Here's the next scrap and Stamp Saturday Challenge......where do you craft???? and add some chipboard. I am lucky enough to have a craft room! It's always pretty messy but I love it. What I scrapped about my room wasn't where I have my papers , ink etc but rather my favorite thing about my room. Each morning I head in here and start the day with something stamp related and sooner or later (generally sooner) I hear little feet running down the hallway and have one or both of my girls scurry under my desk with their blankets and stuffed beavers (choppy and Mr. Fluff) and cuddle up down there until we're ready to head downstairs. My youngest just got her "big girl bed" this summer so it's a mystery as to who is coming in first!! I used some tall tales papers for this one. I added a crotchet flower, button and some ribbon as well. My stamps are from alphadots and short and sweet both from SU. My chipboard is that fun little arrow covered in tall tales DSP. Head on over to SSS to see how you can win a great Rusty Pickly Prize Pack and to see where the other gals craft!

Animals, babies and something fun!!

Those are the themes today for my cards, a couple of challenges and some news!! I hope you are enjoying your Friday so far! It is actually chilly here! It is also the last day of summer camp for my daughter which is a very sad day. Her camp is at her preschool and they are closing for good this week. She was fortunate enough to be part of the last class at a truly special school!!
OK onto the cards......first up is Stamp Something. This week we're looking for animals from all walks of life. I chose this adorable frog from our sponsor digital delights by Looby Loo!! What a fun little guy he is! I used some yummy offbeat Basic Grey papers along with old olive and not quite navy card stock. The sentiment is from teeny tiny wishes..what else..except I hand wrote an "o" in place of the "a" to make it hoppy instead of happy. Here's a quick list of challenges before this post gets way too long!

Digital Tuesday.....Hop to it

STAMPIN FOR THE WEEKEND
This is my last week as a guest designer for Stampin for the weekend. The theme is anything baby!! I made this card for my cousin's Christening last weekend. The image is from Whiff of Joy and the sentiment is from one of my all time favorite SU sets, buggies and booties. The papers are from Parisian breeze and the colors are kraft, baja breeze and chocolate chip. I used some yummy chocolate satin ribbon and then what I call "boy bling" metal eyelets.

Hi Everyone!!! It's Wednesday so another Ildi Co card day. It is also open house at my daughter's kindergarten tonight!! I can not believe it, how can I have a kindergartner!!! She is quite nervous so I'm hoping the open house tonight and some new kindergarten books from the library help out!! And if they don't maybe tonight's school shopping with just mom and dad will!!!
Did you also see Ildi Co is having a blog hop on Saturday??? Come join us for new release(which I've seen and they are awesome!!) and prizes!!!!

This week I chose to use Cuddles at the beach! One last trip before the end of summer!! I paper pieced the umbrella and the bow on the hat using some Razzleberry lemonade DSP. The colors of melon mambo, Bermuda bay and only orange are from SPCC. I CBed the white layer using my circles folder. The sentiment...yep you guessed it teeny tiny wishes (do you have this set yet??? you'll love it!!) I was following a sketch from the pink elephant and decided to add some felt flowers and a fun beachy charm.

Morning!! We had a gorgeous, HOT weekend here and have more of that in store for today! So I decided to make a Christmas card to cool down a bit!!! The challenge this week at Cupcake is to create a shaped card. I went with this scalloped circle. I used my snowflakes CB folder on the wasabi layer and the bashful blue oval. This adorable snowman is from Victoria Case. I colored him with copics and added dazzling diamonds to his hat and chunky glitter for the snow. The papers are retired SU. The sketch is from the Victoria Case Challenge. I also added some felt flurries with a rhinestone brad. I also added 3 rhinestones.
I was hoping to combine a bunch of challenges today since I'll be gone most of the remainder of the week and here they are.......

Sunday!

Morning all! How is everyone's weekend? I normally don't post on Sundays but this week is going to be crazy so I needed to get in some stamping while I could!! I can't believe this is the last week of summer! And my daughter starts kindergarten in a week!! We have lots of playdates and shopping time planned for this upcoming week to make the most of it!
I put this card together for a couple different challenges. The first is EAC challenge, where I found this great sketch!! Pile it on wanted to see 3 of something, so I used 3 prima flowers and piled on some challenges! The rest of the challenges were all color challenges. Roses on paper wanted to see fall colors. Our creative corner wanted to see the in colors. And Copics colour challenge wanted E57, C03 and YR04. So I used crushed curry, soft suede and dusty durango. Pretty soon these will be the colors outside, I feel like we just got green!! Oh well!!! I also CBed both layers of the oval. The DSP is from razzleberry lemonade and the sentiment is teeny tiny wishes.
Be sure to check back tomorrow to see if you were the lucky winner of my Cupcake Craft Birthday Blog Candy!!

Scrap and Stamp Saturday!!

It's the weekend!!! We are getting some much needed thunderstorms today with plenty of sunshine in between. Hope you're enjoying your day. We are doing all kinds of celebrating over at Scrap and Stamp Saturday. We'd like you to scrap any holiday but Christmas!!! Since I am using my DT projects to complete a summertime scrapbook, I needed to pick a summer holiday. So I went with my niece's 1st birthday!!!! I used a super cute Magnolia and a little cupcake from short & sweet for this one. I used the sketch from Just Magnolia as the layout for my page. Added a bunch of buttons, so this works for the ABC Challenge of B is for buttons. I just love buttons!!!! This designer paper and color combo with pink pirouette, baja breeze and kiwi kiss is my favorite color combo and along with scrapping my girls, my favorite thing to scrap, this qualifies for the favorite things challenge over at Pollycraft Challenges. Be sure to check out the rest of the girls' super cute pages!!!!

How is your Friday so far?? It's a busy one here again! I am watching my niece. And I have 2 DT cards to share today!

The first is for Stamp Something's Birthday challenge. I used the whimsy lion for this one. The sentiment is from an old SU set. The designer paper is from the safari matstack by DCVW and the cardstock is kiwi kiss, chocolate chip and going gray. I colored him in with my copics. I added some jumbo eyelets, hemp twine and a few buttons from my stash to finish him up.

Other challenges....
Copics colour challenge......C3, YR04, E57 I also used YR20, 21 and E51, 53
ABC Challenge....B is for buttons
Pile it on...oh boy + challenges

STAMPIN FOR THE WEEKEND
For the next two weeks I am very excited to be the guest designer for Stampin' For the weekend!! This week's challenge is to use the colors pink and gray. My pink is actually cameo coral and the gray is basic gray. I also added some baja breeze so I could use this fabby DSP, walk in the park!! I got a jump start on this card so I used last week's Just Magnolia's theme of friendship with this adorable Tilda. I used the pick your own challenge at Papertake weekly and chose 5/19/08's challenge which was Katharina's sketch #3. There is an adorable happy hopper's stamp from windrush cards up for grabs just for giving this color combo a whirl!!

Get well wishes

Hi All!! Can you believe it's Thursday already?? This week flew by, hopefully the weekend will be nice and slow though!
This wasn't a card I had planned on making, but unfortunately I had too. Yesterday my daughter's friend broke her arm while we were having a playdate. So I whipped this up for the poor sweetie!!
I used this super cute image I received from Denise, thanks hun!!! The papers are basic grey urban prairie and razzleberry lemonade from SU. I also added some stickles to her wings. I used the colors from the Charisma Cardz Challenge of lemon, pink and green. I thought they were pretty summery and cheery so I decided to enter it in for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge as well.
The sketch is from Delightful Sketches.
This week on papertake weekly, you can pick any of the past challenges to do. This card matches up with the July 21 challenge which was to pick your own color combination. Finally there is a bunch of ribbon on this one so it's perfect for the ribbon, ribbon challenge over at Whimsy Stamps!!
I used a bunch of eyelets because I just ran out of adhesive!! Uggghhh, so I am now patiently waiting for the UPS man to venture up here!!
Enjoy the rest of your day, I'll be here willing the UPS man to come early!!!

That is definitely a record for me!! This week at SSS the fabulous Denise from Whimsy Stamps is hosting!!!! So we what to see something whimsical. Now I am on the Whimsy DT and although SSS provided a definition of "whimsy," I couldn't really tell you what it means. It's just one of those words you know but can't describe KWIM?? So I took it to mean cute and punny. So I used my whimsy skunk and gave the page the title of Stinkin' cute. Seems whimsy to me!!! It's Friday!!!! I have my hands full today as I am watching my 1 year old niece along with my 2 girls, so I need to get this post done early! This summer I think my daughter has caught easily 100 frogs, some maybe repeats, but we average about 4 a day, with our record of 10! And she's a little princess, so I thought this was the perfect image!! It is from Paper make-up stamps. The papers are from Basic Grey lemonade. The smaller print is ladybugs, another favorite to catch over here, and the larger is cherries, my favorite summer treat! I also added some vanilla flower brads with my buttons, "sun" flowers and razzleberry ribbon. Scrap and Stamp Saturday!

Happy Saturday! Today is the first of the weekly challenges over at SSS. Now you can play along each week!! The challenge this week was to emboss your page. I went with dry embossing and used my flower dots CB folder on both the banana layer in the middle of the page and the olive layer under my journaling.
This page is all about the day a cucumber from my garden appeared on the swing set and neither girl knew how that happened hmmmmm. But their little guilty smirks gave them away for sure!! But it was nice to see, at least for now, that they're covering for one another!! So in each picture they're holding my lone baby cuke from my garden!!
Challenges of the day
Simon Says.....ribbon and buttons
The pink elephant.....one flower, 3 brads and designer paper
Papertake weekly....summer
spoonful of sugar...flower fantasy
scrapping across the universe....inspiration from I've just seen a face
