Whimsy September Release!!! Day 2

Welcome to the Whimsy Stamps September 2012 rubber stamp and die RELEASE DAY 2 (Holiday Collection Part 1)!

  Whimsy Stamps released 22 wonderful new rubber stamps & stamp sets, 5 fabulous new Shapeology dies and 2 gorgeous new Shape EZ templates. These new goodies are available to buy right now from the Whimsy Stamps store along with all your Whimsy favorites.

We also released 2 *BRAND NEW* Whimsy Designer Paper packs designed by Michele Roos for Whimsy Stamps. These acid and lignin free 6x6 paper packs contain 24 sheets of stunning designs (12 designs - 2 of each) printed on heavyweight slightly textured papers. We have 2 new holiday themed paper packs available to buy from today (details below), and the Cottage Charms Paper pack that was available to pre-order during our August release is also available to buy from the Whimsy Stamps store.

From today until 25 September the Whimsy DT and Special Guests will be showcasing these new products with a daily mini blog hop. Whimsy's Elisabeth Bell Release!!! DAy 1

Hi everyone!

We are very excited to announce that a new artist has joined the Whimsy family – please give a warm Whimsy welcome to the amazing ... Elisabeth Bell!

2 for 1

Hi everyone!  Today is Stamp Something day and the Elisabeth Bell World challenge day.  So I combined challenges and made a 2 for 1 card!  The challenge at Stamp Something is flowers, so check got that one.  Then the EB challenge is a recipe card.  So I started by using this WOJ image with cookies, some cupcake paper then added a recipe card to the front.  On the inside is a full recipe card awaiting some yummy instructions.

The colors are baja and espresso.  The papers are from nook and pantry from Basic grey.  Aside from the flowers, I just added a tiny bow for embellishment.  The sentiment is from Whimsy stamps.

Ooooops!!!  I have been working in the real world quite a lot in the past two weeks.  And I've had very little crafty time :(  Finally got a few moments to do some housekeeping on the blog and realized I never changed this from draft to post...
So anyway......here is a digi bells card I made a little while ago.  I used it as a teacher Valentine.  The papers are Martha Stewart.  I have used A tasty read from Elisabeth Bell.  I also used life defined and ticket sentiments from Whimsy Stamps.  Finally I distressed it, added some pearls and a great big bow!  Oh and some flowers!!

Elisabeth Bell Monthly Challenge

The Elisabeth Bell monthly challenge is to alter an item.  I chose to alter an old mailbox I had lying around from target a few Valentine's ago.  I used Martha Stewart Valentine papers to cover the mailbox.  I then used red grosgrain ribbon to cover the seams.  The image is from Whiff of Joy.  I covered the mail flag with lots of ribbon scraps I had lying around.  Finally I added some flowers, pearls and a love charm.  It was quite easy to make, not as easy to photograph!!!  The pink end pops off, so I can fill the box with chocolates or other Valentine candy!  I hope you can play along:)

Sunday Sketch and Stamp

 Good morning!!!!  It;s the last day of vacation here and I'm ready for things to settle down and return to normal!!!!  These past few weeks have been fun, but boy I need a break!
I have 2 cards to share with you today..one is for Sunday Sketch and Stamp and the other is for the Digi Bells DT.

I just loved the sketch this week at Sunday Sketch and Stamp!!  I used this super sweet image from Elizabeth Bell along with Curio Basic grey papers.  I distressed all the edges with scissors and ink.  I also added lots of stickles!  The sentiment is from Whimsy stamps, I gave it some sparkles too.  Finally I added a few teeny tiny pearls to the edges.  Please pop on over and play along when you can:)

 This card I made using the sketch provided by the Dt call.  I used one of my favorite Elizabeth Bell images from Whiff of Joy.  It's a non-traditional Valentine and I am happy to be crossing those of my list already as it will be here before we know it!!!!  The sentiment is from Whimsy stamps.  I added 3 layers of ribbons a wide grosgrain, a medium organza and a tiny satin.  I'm still excited about all my new stickles, so I added a bunch of sparkle!  Finally I added some pearls and flowers.
