Happy Birthday Turtle

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. I am looking forward to a night of quiet stamping after the girls go to bed since my husband is working. This is a card I started the other day and was finally able to finish this afternoon. It is my entry for the Cute card Thursday animal challenge as well as the Copic Colours Challenge blog. I was a few numbers off on the copics but close enough I think! The sketch is from last week's sketch Saturday sketch. I used Copics B05, 06 for the water and G21, 28 for the turtle. His little tongue is R05. The DSP is from this year's SAB as is the celery twill tape. The turtle and sentiment are both Whimsy Stamps. Be sure to check out the sale they have going on! If all goes well and the girls go to sleep on time and I don't get sucked into Facebook, I'll have more to post later:)

Something cold and wintry...

Happy Friday everyone!! We are hosting a wintry challenge over on Stamp Something in hopes of ushering out winter and bringing in spring. We are excited to be sponsored by whimsy stamps this week and our winner can win a 20$ gift cert.!!

I chose this super cute whimsy image for my card. I colored this funny bunny in with copics. I added some glitter to the snow and snowman, which did not photo all that well. The paper is ski slope from SU. The sentiment is whimsy as well.

I also wanted to treat you all to a couple of whimsy sneak peeks. These are 2 of the stamps from Whimsy's spring release. Rainy Day Emma and Baseball Connor. How cute are they?? To make room for these little cuties, Denise is offering some great sales on her winter line. So head on over and take advantage of some great deals! There's also a DT call in progress for Whimsy, check out the site for details.

Sugar Bowl Challenge #4

Here it is another Monday!! I'm so excited February is coming to end, which means spring is almost here!!! This is a springy card I made for the sugar bowl's fourth challenge. The guidelines were to only use 1 piece of patterned paper. Well I used one piece, I just cut it a few times. I think that still follows the rules though:) I used the strawberry tea sugar nellie. I received this image from Tracey, thanks again Tracey!!!!! I used my K & Company papers along with kiwi kiss and barely banana. I did a bunch of cuttlebugging and I just had to add a prima!!! The ribbon is the satin kiwi kiss through two jumbo eyelets. And i colored her in with my new copics, a few old ones as well:) Enjoy the rest of your night!

Another Valentine!

I hope everyone had a fabulous Valentine's Day. I finished my valentine's(finally) on Saturday, still haven't mailed them due to the holiday today, but oh well!!! This is one I made for a little valentine boy I know. I used the sketch from Friday's Sketchers for this one. It calls for an oval, but I used a rectangle so I could fit the entire image. This is Knight Connor from Whimsy Stamps, I colored him using my Copics. Instead of flowers indicated in the sketch, I used stars, they seemed more "boyish." One more Valentine to post tomorrow, then I am starting spring cards!!!!!! WooHoo! Enjoy the rest of your day:)

Something Chocolate...........

In honor of Valentine's, we at Stamp Something thought something Chocolate was in order!! It can be a project for chocolate, with chocolate paper or whatever. Now when I think chocolate I immediately think chocolate moose(yes, spelt like that). We have a store, The Chocolate Moose, a few miles away that carries AMAZING goodies. Huge chocolate and caramel covered apples for one. Anyway, little story...... my husband took my daughter there(3 1/2) to pick out a treat while they waited for an oil change at the car place next door. So what does she pick.....a 7in stuffed beaver with a tiny bag of butter mints. Well now over a year later that beaver, Choppy, comes everywhere with us. (See photo) So I couldn't help it, I had to do a chocolate Moose card this week in honor of Choppy's roots. I used some super yummy chocolate satin ribbon from my stash along with a new chocolate corduroy button!! The moose and sentiment are both Whimsy Stamps. Be sure to pop over to Stamp Something to see what other yummy treats are there!!

A challenge for you......

Where is this week going?? I can not believe it's Wednesday already!! A few days closer to Spring anyhow so woohoo for that! Anyway I had sometime to make a card so I thought I'd combine a few challenges. Have you ever had one of those cards that just kept giving you trouble??? Well this is my trouble card, I think it had a mind of it's own!!! And it wore off on my camera which is now doing strange things too(although I think that may have more to do with the fact that a certain small someone was playing with the camera yesterday hmmmmm).

Anyway on to the card!!! I knew I wanted to ink up my new Narwhal Whale stamp from Whimsy and try out the new Copic Color Challenge. I used BV00 and B91 and B93 since I didn't have the exact colors from the challenge. I also decided to use the fun sketch from Sketch and Stash. I turned it on its side to work with the image and added a black rectangle under the image. I added a scribble swirls sizzlit which along with the swirls CB background and doodles along the edge of the oval qualify the card for A spoonful of Sugar's Doodle challenge as well. I used some retired Almost Amethyst prints paper, my filigree brads, and some silver HPH.
We are working on a big pile of Princess Valentine's today, so hopefully that will go smoothly and I can stamp for fun afterwards!!!

Sketch Saturday and Dutch Dare Valentine

Happy Monday all!!! Hope everyone had a great weekend. It was a fun-filled, but busy weekend over here. Here is a card I did for the sketch Saturday sketch, sponsored by Whimsy Stamps and design by my fellow Whimsy DT member, Jeanette. I also used the dutch dare challenge of a valentine's card without pink or red. The 3 metal brads also qualify this one for the cute card Thursday metal challenge! I don't know about you, but I love challenge blogs!!! This stamp is from Whimsy and I just think it's so cute!!! I colored these little guys with my copics. The designer paper is from K & Company as is the fabric brad. I ran the basic gray piece of CS through my CB using the birds and swirls folder and the Whisper white layer used Swiss dots. Be sure to check out the sketch for your chance to win some whimsy stamps!!
Also head over to Denise's blog if you're interested in an image swap. Group 3 is now open with 2 whiff of joy images available, and we'd love to fill it up with other great images.

Smething for my valentine

We are celebrating valentine's day a little early over at stamp something. Pop on over to see some fabulous Valentine's ideas from the DT. We are excited to be sponsored by Whiff of Joy this week and have 2 new WoJ stamps as blog candy!!
I used Melinda blowing kisses from WoJ for my card. The paper is candy lane from SU which has all my current fav colors. The sentiment is a 1$ stamp from my LSS. I was excited when I found it because I didn't really have a "valentine" in a font I liked, and for 1$!!!
I also added some hearts from the SU heart punch and some red riding hood taffeta ribbon.

Have a great weekend!! I'm working on Saturday and have a Christening on Sunday so no stamping for me until Monday, see you then!!

Valentine's treat

Here's a little treat box I did for a workshop last night. It uses baroque motifs and love you much for stamp sets. And red riding hood, pink pirouette and candy lane for cardstock. The love has been covered with crystal effects and dazzling diamonds. This is a one sheet wonder box. One sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 not cutting involved, a little tricky paper folding, but no cutting!!!
It also qualifies for papertake's hearts and flowers challenge andour creative corner's heart challenge. It also is my entry for the papertrey it's in the bag challenge!
Also head on over to Denise's blog, she's hosting an image swap. So far there are whimsy, Whiff of Joy, sugar nellie, stampin up, magnolia and dog gone stamp images available!!!

Pajama Time!!!

Hope you all had a great weekend and enjoyed the superbowl or at least the commercials, well maybe just the snacks!! I received a bunch of new whimsy stamps over the weekend. I wasn't allowed to do anything until I stamped my daughter some Emmas to color so I stamped one for myself as well. So here's pajama time Emma. Isn't she the cutest!!! I followed the sketch from Friday Sketchers and used my more paper from my retail therapy the other day. This paper is from making memories. I paired it with taken with teal(yes really I used taken with teal, I think for the 1st time ever!!!) It just matched so well, I had too!! I also used Sahara sand, which I ran thru my CB first. I added some felt flower, a scribble swirl and a whimsy sentiment and that's it. Be sure to pop over to Whimsy to check out the rest of their new releases.
